Hey guys. upon further looking up the classifieds there are actually Lower average prices for a 2015-17 models - a slow as RM 120k as of 23 June 2023 for GT86 / BRZ. So take this as a higher average price calculation. Thanks for some of the feedback from the community! And more videos coming up!
Thank you so much for this. The Toyota 86 has been my dream car ever since I first saw it at launch in 2012, and I was only 13 years old that time. 11 years later and I still can't afford one.....yet. I'm working with nett salary of only RM3,500, therefore it's definitely not enough to buy and maintain a Toyota 86. Even the cheapest ones that can be found for around RM90,000 on the market now. Need to keep working hard and improve myself before rewarding myself with this dream car of mine. Hope everyone else can stay focused and improve themselves in order to get their dream cars also, plus more!
As a fresh grad engineer Malaysian looking at this and really wanting to own an 86 since Initial D, seems impossible, but will try. Give me some luck guys
Keep your heads down, focus and work hard 💪 don’t be afraid of stepping out of your comfort zone for other opportunities. Fortune favours the brave. All the best to all of us
This series is amazing! Thank you for giving the awareness for us when considering buying a dream car. I think too many people just blindly jump into buying their dream car(s) without actually considering the running & maintenance cost behind owning it and then later on finding out that they can't actually afford to own it
Thanks man! Appreciate the comment and support, Yep, I just want to give some structure to think and process a dream car. I don't think my way is the best, but as long as it helps. :)
owning it was probably always the easy part, maintaining it is another, but finding the RIGHT workshop for all the maintenance is the most difficult, and it always the deal breaker, becos we just do not have so much experience with workshop or any idea of them
i have been waiting the 2012 model price to dropppp but now still can loan, so asking price is still sticky .. but then having sampled both auto and manual, I still not convinced and its been my number one list since its launch in 2012..
This sound more like a marketing vid to help a pal sell off his ride lol. No wrong if its a good vehicle waiting for the next owner, just made it clear upfront 😂
Slightly higher, but civic are meant to be mod & tune, so if you plan to mod the car thn totally different story la. Fun fact: Minimum downpayment for a FK8R is 10% only, cause it's a 5 doors hatchback. So if you put more downpayment, then it will be somewhat similar budget to own one.
Bro, for 2 door sports car/coupe will need a hefty downpayment. How about 2 door suv like the Suzuki Jimny? Really like the Jimny and it is not that expensive. But does it have to pay 30 to 40% downpayment also?
Hahaha. Really? From a few GT86 friends they say no big deal. Tell me more. I would love to have more experienced owners to share. It really helps the community.
@@ThomasYap haha, your friend is right as long as you didn’t get poisoned. I did a manual swap, change the rims, get a adjustable, header and tune. These simple thing cost almost 30K 😂
