we used to own brand new 2014 harrier hybrid (premium advanced version) we we bought that car for 16 million back in early 2015. now it has more than tripled in value lol. honestly it was such an amazing car for srilanka. it has good looks, good features and good prestige as its not common, not to mention compared to the average vehicle it was a lot quicker too, easily can win against prados and v8's in straight line speed. we sold it late 2019 due to needing a double cab, and ended up buying a 2019 hilux. While i love the hilux as it has a whole different vibe, i definitely miss the harrier as its such a good car. Cant recommend the harrier enough! awesome video ayya!
@@subhashrupasinghe1776 They are meant for off road more than they are on road. They are amazing vehicle absolutely but in srilanka 99% of people never really take them offroad or utilise their capabilities to the full potential. They only use it to show off.As a everyday car/daily driver and especially considering value for money, the features you get, harrier is a better option for most people especially considering everyday situations.
@manujakaluarachi3943 Thanks for sharing your experience. I am planning to buy an SUV and have a budget of around 20mil. So far can buy a Montero Diesel 2012-2015 , Prado Petrol 2010-2012 or Harrier 2014-2016. I test drove all and Harrier stood tall above all. But I am a bit conflicted to make a decision as I am concerned about the inevitable depreciation that will happen with in a year. That + maintenance + ownership experience, which vehicle would you recommend? Thanks
Apologies for the delayed response. If you are considering depreciation, or in this case, the appreciation of vehicle prices in Sri Lanka, let us acknowledge the fact that the Prado stands out as the clear winner. My uncle recently sold a 2010 Prado, which he had purchased eight years ago for 10 million, for an impressive 26 million. The Montero/Pajero would come in second, followed by the Harrier. It is evident that most Sri Lankans prioritize brand, model, and prestige when selecting a vehicle. If your primary usage will be on paved roads, the Harrier is undoubtedly a suitable choice. Moreover, opting for the premium advanced model will provide you with additional features such as a JBL sound system, 360-degree camera, panoramic moon roof, radar cruise control, and emergency braking for both the front and rear. These features are not available in the Montero and are only found in certain Prado models which are tz.g or models after 2017. if ur looking for the most stylish vehicle the harrier is also a head turner especially if it has the modellista body kit. U cant go wrong with the prado or harrier @TheLawCollege
Halo MRJ I live in the US We don't have the Harrier but Lexus harrier for the Asian market and the motors are different 3.0 v6 first gen then 3.3l and 3.5l All these motors came with timing belts and have to be changed at about 80,000 miles costs about $1000 to $1500 to change the water pump cam bearings and belts .Certain years Toyotas have problems Toyota uses Kaisan in Japanese means to make improvements and learn from your mistakes I too drive a 2918 Camry 2.4L direct and port injection Korean Japan and BMW used direct injection and had A lot of problems. My Camry too has eight computers and to replace one would cost over $1000 Maintaining a Harrier in Sl would be almost impossible unless you have a boatload of money Ps I an originally from SL good luck with your channel
Among montero center spare wheel(Diesel) and this ,which one is the most preferred one considering reliability, maintenance, comfort etc???? cause both are in same price range.
