This is how you can use a US equivalent replacement for the Hiace vans. Wix WA6118 Air Filter- amzn.to/3b9QswV or cross-referenced with K&N (www.knfilters.com/cross-refer...) and confirmed by others K&N E-2416
Thanks again, just installed my new air filter. Had a mild panic attack as it was a bit frustrating to get it back on, but I rewatched the vid and found I was trying to put it on backwards.
I just replaced my air filter thx to ur video…any idea on that back rubber circle on the bottom of the filter container? Do u think it’s to let water out if it gets in filter housing? I had rust in bottom of my filter housing and it makes me think this would alleviate that happening in the future.
Great vid - I used to change my air filter. Do u think that little circular rubber gasket at the bottom of the housing is to let water out? Do you think it’d be a problem to just leave that open 24/7?
I have not. You may need to flush your coolant system. There are so many things that could also be causing it to overheat (clogged radiator, water pump, bad fan clutch, etc.) You can try posting for help on the FB group "Toyota Hiace Owners North America" or try and find a local mechanic familiar with the vans.
