Here is the much awaited and exclusive comparison between the 2022 Toyota Hilux and the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross Adventure 4x4. Both are lifestyle pick-up trucks that compete in a niche segment.
I recently sold my 2.5 litre V Cross after enjoying it for 5 years and picked up the Hilux. The V Cross was reliable and a good work horse, however the Hilux is a far superior pick up. Its is packed with power and comfort, not sluggish like it’s counter part. Power and torque make all the difference when performing on mountain roads, over taking on sharp bends and off roading, especially at high altitude. And then there is the huge potential for off road mods that will soon become available in India. Thumbs up on all counts.

Bunny sir V cross does not have rear AC vents BUT there is a ventilation below the cente panel (below cup holder)from where good air flow comes into the back..no one tells you that even ISUZU sales team but as a owner I came to know it after 2 years of ownership..
Very different review with different machines. It was the Mahindra & Tata who introduced the pickup trucks in India. Our market was/is not mature even today for these extraordinary machines. But Isuzu ventured into an unknown terrain in India very boldly. Toyota is sure to follow after much deliberations with a superior machine. Of course companies are for the moment not for the volumes. It's interesting to see that the engines of Fortuner & MU X were the same in their previous iterations.
Vcross is spacious value for money and reliable ,hilix is a bit overpriced most of the people would prefer fortuner over hilux as in India people don't prefer pickups that much like in other countries , so isuzu vcross is definitely more worth, I'm driving my 2.5 vcross from 6 yrs

Both are great Pickups I own a 2018 Hilux extra cab auto 4WD in Guyana imported used from UAE and it's just fantastic. I love the Isuzu but the extra cab versions are hard to find to import.
I will choose Hilux cause the engine looks and interior everything is far better than d max but but but if Isuzu launch their new d max which is available in global market than I will blindly go fr Isuzu what a interior what a looks of the car is

@@zzzzz7917 After owning two earlier model Thars I was so happy when the new model came in. I was so ready to buy it but I got Gurkha. On Road and On Highway performance of Thar is great but Off Road with right setup Gurkha remains a class apart. Many things going in favor of Gurkha though underpowered. And finally good space for people inside.

Waiting for isuzu to launch the latest vcross .. will give Hilux an even more difficult competition. That model has not come to India .. oh god that looks sexy
Today drove Hilux in June 2024, it's a next level car in every dimension than V-Cross and now with special offers, Hilux is cheaper than newly updated V-Cross at 36 lacs
I think you skipped one important feature of the hilux and the lack of in isuzu is that , isuzu doesnt come with rear diff locker meanwhile hilux comes as standard!. Rest GREAT VIDEO!!
these are both very imposing and solid. but given their prices, most of them will end up on the city streets rather than on farms. it ll be a good idea to consider buying these from the used market a few years down the line, if one wants or needs a solid utility vehicle for one’s farm or rural retreat.
You are absolutely wrong here. You used these vehicles for a day and gave your prospective. I use V cross and it is my primary vehicle. When anyone plans to buy and use this vehicle, they don't care about sound coming in (which is not the case) and I drive alone with no load, it's not bumpy as you are elaborating. Please stop this 🙏
Excellent video. From the looks, surely Hilux out smarts Vcross (at least the current version of Vcross). I do own a Vcross, the first units from Thailand and 2.5 ltr engine. And trust me its a beast. I do have driven Hilux but I still think Vcross engine is better. I am extremely happy with Vcross
🤣. Hilux is no better looking than a bottom feeder carp. Don't believe ? Check out a picture of a koi carp or a European carp from front. That's a Hilux.
These cars were never meant for off-roading... but for carriage, and other business materials, etc... Problem in India is that....people don't get it.. actual purpose of Car Truck
One thing u missed that was Braking performance. As both r going well on full throttle but what about braking performance to halt such a heavy vehicle?????
the real reason why we pay 44lc in india for hilux is its offroad capability in rain, desert, snow, loose mud, mountains, high mountains. IF we only driving in city n little offroad here n there,, isuzu is better car per rupee spent. (I am ignoring power here)
