I own a Hybrid and driven around 1000km. Every disappointed experience. Here are my major concerns. 1.Poor ergonomics, especially the driver and co driver seats have poor tight support and the brushed aluminum panel in the center console hurts the left knee when you rest in the dead pedal. 2. Paddle shifter is non functional and likewise the manual drive mode. 3. Front design doesn’t narrow down like Crysta, which leaves the front bonnet very broad. This makes front driving judgment very complex. 4. EV mode is an another name sake option. The battery never charges to it full capacity even after driving over 100 kms. Hence EV drive is not of any use even in slow speeds in city traffic. 5. Music system disconnects very often and this seems to be an issue with many other customers as well. Overall, I am surprised with such an sub standard product from Toyota after spending 30 lacs. Also, I doubt many these reviews are promoted and not genuine as some of these basic issues were not highlighted by none of the auto review expert.
Wonderful review!! Definitely the hybrid will be the choice when compared to the EV. With regard to the Naturally aspirated engine, this would be the best Choice to Thar petrol. The mileage, comfort, features and drivability are the main factors also value for money matters before choosing a vehicle.
The purpose of Innova is to carry 7 ppl comfortably on long rides, hycross has it’s battery under the driver seat in this case the middle row passengers cannot stretch their legs under the front row seat while 3rd row passengers are accommodated !! So it is definitely uncomfortable for a family with 6 or 7 people to sit on hycross for long drives!! In such case the purpose of buying this vehicle seems useless !! If we switch to petrol only model to solve this issue the petrol variants have only g and gx models which lacks with features!! Motowagon should consider to review upon this !!
Crysta diesel vs hycross milage engine quality mukiyama romba clear ahh solluga nd etha pathi oru video poduviga na oru like 👍 video Vera yarumkum vennum oru like poduga
Nicely explained bro.. but one suggestion i would like to give is if you are reviewing 7 seater to get the correct feel of engine, ergonomics make sure you make 7 people sit in car , not sinngle person to replicate the 5 th or 7th person.. for explaining it makes sense but for real practical feel we need to see real practical test ... normally all youtubers review it normally no one gives the real practical test with fully loaded .... kindly take this point bit seriously bro It may sound weird but please think of a buyer point of view , the engine performance may vary when fully loaded.. and your opinion and reviews are best
You guys remember I mentioned in one of your videos few years back, Toyota to give sun/moon roof to get more attention and here it is!! Soon they gonna give in fortuner too
Sir, there is a correction: this car or any hybrid is not suitable for highways. Hybrids are great for city but on highways it's just normal. Normal petrol car will give 10-12in city, 16-18 on highways means hybrid will give 20-25 in city if driving more on traffic, while in highway it comes back to 16-18 depending on speed. So highways NA car is better or Diesel always king on highways, low cost as well. Hybrids are city kings.
Definitely should have given diesel with hybrid on this car as well…..1.5l diesel with strong hybrid would have done justice to emissions as well as fuel economy
Toyota must think of releasing manual variant in Hycross because many drivers love manual variants more than automatic. Motowagon must reccomend Toyota to release Manual Hycross cars with/without sunroof option. It will improve their sales.
Very good explanation sir.. but enakgu iru doubt Innova hycross and Innova crysta ithula ethu T BROAD (COMMERCIAL) best da irugum long travel ku ethu best da irugum sollunga enakgu romba use fulla irugum ninga soningana tha
200 kg less than Innova crysta due to Hycros doesn't have ladder frame, rear housing with heavy axle, propeller shaft and upper control arm in front both sides. It means Innova crysta is more heavier and stronger
Sir my major doubt is with capacity of 5 passenger does it has enough torque to ride in hill stations.not like off-road fir general hill stations visit. Does it has pickup and enough torque. Please reply sir
Good review, appreciated! Request in your awareness words, pls keep telling this as template to use the indicator FEW METERS BEFORE turning so the rear coming vehicles can sense their actions.
Hi Asir, I like the way you do research and deliver your content with technical finesse. But could you please display the numbers you are saying in your videos at the bottom. Since it's kind of hard to fully understand your Tamil pronunciations especially with numbers. Please don't take any offense. This is just an practical issue.
Test drove the na petrol today. Not satisfied with the performance. The comfort was really a benchmark than other innovas .But the older generation innmovas were really engaging to drive but this one lacks it . Those who want to enjoy driving should definitely go fo crysta only
I am Ganesan from Krishnagiri. I recently inquired Toyota Hycross with three different showrooms in Tamil Nadu, India. They have been shared me with the price list, and I asked few questions to the sales representative. Quiz 1. I will pay the on-road cost, Temporary registration and the TCS and the rest all I will take care of myself such as (Loan , Insurance, permanent registration). Answer from the sales representative:- if you are going to take a loan that should go through our shroom and the insurance. Quiz 2. I don’t want any accessories. Answer from the sales representative:- You must have to take the accessories package. I am wondering what are the scam made by the Toyota India. it's all the customers rights what they need no one can force to obtion. I previously own two other brand cars they never said like this why only Toyota?? The company should advise all the dealership to sell the car only not a loan or insurance.
Excellent review !!! I got clear understanding the need of hycross now. I have only one question. Every battery has rechargeble cycles . How much killometers the battery has warranty ? and any estimated replacement cost ?
Petrol engine not on and off more....in Hybrid, model engine on and off is more, i think they use different amp rating battery for self start. ( hybrid battery is different)
Ev and petrol.. Hybrid functionality innum koncha better ah explain pannirkalam.. Intially i thought it will go up to certain KM in EV then it will automatically change to petrol.. battery charge panna mudiyuma indha madhri questions irukku
Sir, Your details and explanation is very good. Can you please tell me the real world city mileage of the GX variant. I was using an i10 2011 model. Mine is a joint family. Planning to upgrade to 7 seater. Please suggest to me which one is best New Crysta or GX Hycross
Eyes closed go for the Hycross. It is a big step up in every department to the Crysta. Both Crysta and Hycross GX offer around 12-13. But Diesels will be banned in 10 years.
Sir , currently i am planning to buy a compact SUV, after trying all the choices finally we have shortlisted Maruti Suzuki Breeza & Hyundai Venue My preference on a car would be fuel efficiency, engine power & durability and maintenance cost , could you suggest which should i opt between those two options
What is the warranty they are giving for the lithium battery for the hybrid model? What is the cost of replacement of the lithium battery after the warranty period?
