Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 1/16 HG4-50: Yes, it is 4WD! 

Thank you, yes, trying different motors for sure will improve this truck, but mainly changing electronics. Electronics (ESC) will be more important than motor. "Whining" is only ESC, not motor, and low speed modulation is probably 90% ESC and 10% motor. Yes, I have seen the awesome FJ40 for SCX24 (several videos), love it. But ordering it for me (EU) will be super expensive, because of customs and shipping and handling fees... I could order it from US Amazon, it is US 59.99 (have it in my basket), but with shipping, customs and fees I will pay US$ 88, and I thought that's a bit too much (the more, because I have several other hardbodies for small crawlers which I did not use for years now). I paid much less for this truck than I would pay only for the awesome SCX24 body.

@@donaldsneffe Strangely, I just received my HG4-53 Jimny and it's now 4WD..! They have updated the design. Reviews must've made a difference. Still rubbish ESC though. 😁

@@RC3DPrintAdventure Initially it was also sold as 4WD, only after the first review(s - Tomley) Banggood changed it and added 3WD to the headline ;-) It was to expect they will change this. Very funny mistake... Unfortunately it is hard to repair and make 4WD (No, I will for sure not glue shaft to gear ;-) ). Anyway, for this price one cannot complain - awesome bodies and details.

Wenn, dann nur Elo wechseln... glaub ich. SCX24 Achsen sind zu schmal (ich weiß, es gibt Widener). Mit einem AS oder Floh... anderer Fernsteuerung, gscheitem Servo... könnte der schon ein nettes Spielzeug sein (aber kein Crawler). Laneboys LC, Karo lackieren, ... ;-)

@@donaldsneffe evtl den 050er Motor wechseln 19.000 rpm könnte auch der falsche Motor sein....

? Don't get what is the question? The new Suzukis (2nd batch) do have 4WD.

They have upgraded to 4WD, initially, it came with 3WD.
