Hey. Is this front independent suspension really reliable? There are noticeable some knockings while the car is bouncing over bumps. Regards from Poland.
Yes it is very reliable. The car itself (this one) doesn’t make a single sound. Apart from the engine and exhaust ;) The only other sounds you may hear in this video during offroading are breaking branches on the track and loose materials in the interior maybe. The mud on the brakes causes some brake squeal ;)
G day! The Prado (or Land Cruiser as its called in Europe) is running 265/75-16 BF Goodrich KO2 All Terrain on 16x8 rims, minus 10 offset. Check (and follow 😊) the car on Instagram ( landcruiser3400 ) for more details and pics on that. 👍🏼
Yes. These upper units are full LED. No issues. All the lights (Brake/tail, reverse and blinkers) are now in these units, which was needed to make installing a steel offroad bumper possible without lightunits in there (front and rear offroadbumpers mounted after making this video).
Electric rear diff lock was optional on all Land Cruiser (Prado) petrol and diesel models. The first owner of this car choosed not to get one from the dealer. But thats okay and to be honest…. you don’t really need diff lockers 99% of the time. The centre lock, which was standard on all models, is good enough. As you can see even without diff lockers you can come a long (all the) way. Play with tire pressure instead. Notice, I drove in this video with fully inflated tires (2,5 bar).
This is certainly the smooth running 3.4 V6 Quadcam petrol engine. You may hear some diesel sounds from other cars in the video. We were not alone on the trail😊
