Thank you so so much my friend. How knew tht Prados have a spare wheel acted as an auxiliary tank for extra mileage.Lastly who knew about the Markets as well where these LC Prados are manufactured.❤❤ (South Africa,Australia,Kenya & Japan)for different trims found in each state.I had an idea of the Japanese market however others was just clueless.
Very informative and useful. Prado is a fabulous suv totally worth it's weight in gold . European SUVs are luxurious but not invincible like the Prado.
As they keep on adding more tech , we will reach a point where base models of any vehicle will be 5 million + . For that money , i will buy rental properties!
Great Video!! Really been worth it. It's rare to see well explained content from our region. I just got a 2016 Prado TX from UN that they were disposing of, and I have never seen a plainer prado in my Life!! It has cloth seats, is a 5 seater, basic suspension, manual seats, climate control isn't dual, No bluetooth, no touchscreen or reverse camera, and more. It's like a car made for soldiers. That is what sent me down this research route. I am curious about 2 things now: 1. Is it possible to get Original Toyota parts to add features to this car(reverse camera, head unit, sensors, and maybe suspension)? And would it be too costly in comparison to the after market parts? 2. How can I check where this Prado was built? Is there a way I can tell from the car's documentation? Thank you so much!
That car was built by a company based in the USA called zebrota. Note that all the UN cars are 5000cc, it's the strongest car and build to last, I have one at home a 2010 modle.
@0-60motoring. I meant TXL from Japan ordered with a rear mounted spare. I'll check the VIN number to confirm. Fingers crossed that the 2024 Prado (on the TNGA platform) retains the tailgate mounted spare wheel and the two-tank option.
Common rail injectors are very expensive so diesel quality is very crucial.if you dont plan on towing ,doing serious off- road adventures or needing that extra Horse power for fast driving then 2tr-fe 2.7 is very okay.diesel maintenance for prado longevity is a bit higher than the 2tr-fe. 2tr-fe 2.7 is a very si.mple engine with very little to go wrong if you do regular maintenance.2.8 1g has turbo , common rail , EGR, some have DPF so if u can follow maintenance schedules religiously tgen you will enjoy your 2.8 1gd because it has better torque, better horse power and better fuel efficiency.
Yes its not normally a straight line. Maybe the previous owner optioned extras from the factory at zero mileage. And yes, the active height control and KDSS bring a big difference not forgetting other stuff like better rims and a JBL sound system.
@@justinwambua5180 maybe you’re confusing the term fully loaded. There are some TXs, TXLs with fabric seats that are manually adjusted. Some don’t have a sunroof. A fully loaded prado doesnt end at the diesel engine. It also includes the extra features like electric leather seats which can be heated, cooler box, height control, rim size etc. just like the prado TX in the video has leather seats, a sunroof but its not fully loaded.
@@justinwambua5180 The engine can be similar but other features make the difference. Remember the different trims are graded according to features. At factory level, the TZG is way ahead of the TX for Japan cars. A VXL is advanced than a TX for local and SA market origin.
