I grew up in the PS1 era and this is the first time I've heard of this game. Why didn't the Japanese release this worldwide? There many Toyota lovers all over the world.

Same game repurchased for Toyota. There is another version too called Real Racing Toyota as part of the simple series. Sadly no memory card option so it's more of a full demo.
