Thank you for the video. I owned a 2000 Qualis FS, a 2003 Qualis FS facelift, a 2006 Innova G, a 2009 Innova GX, and a 2012 Innova VX before we moved to the United States. I've always looked up to the facelifted Qualis RS, Limited Edition Anniversary, and Myst versions. When I recently visited Kerala, I brought back my Centy Toys Qualis diecast model, which I am now restoring to an RS model.

Very rare to find a well maintained stock condition Qualis like this. Big salute to JD for maintaining this as stock.

It’s an amazing car. I learned to drive in this car, and it was also my first car. It was a Qualis GS 8-Seater in Beige. As you mentioned in the video, the engine note is amazing, and the way it drives is equally impressive. The steering feels feather-light since it's hydraulic. We owned this car from 03-09 and drove almost 2L kms. I’d like to highlight the Toyota service center experience. It was truly exceptional, unlike any other dealership. They thoroughly inspect the car and provide detailed information about both minor and major repairs to be done. Importantly, they only commenced work after obtaining our approval. A big shout-out to JD for consistently delivering well-detailed presentations. Keep up the fantastic work! 🚗👍

My family have a 2004 Qualis G4 8 seater. Just renewed rc and fitness. Single owned driven mostly by me and my dad 20 yrs passed fitness till 2029. My entire family grew up in this coveted just 243000 km. Still starts and runs beautiful. And in perfect gun condition.There is nothing like it. Our other cars were used and sold. But Qualis it runs like a family member.

We used to go to school in a Qualis, private school trip vehicle. The owner upgraded to Qualis from an Ambassador. It was during my KG and Std 1 days and my other friends who would come to school in Trekker and Tata Sumo used to be jealous of us. It was definitely a flex during my childhood. So many memories recollected while I'm watching this today after 20+ years, thank you JayD for coming up with this! ❤

Hi Jayd, I saw this beauty in pristine condition at the second hand showroom just one day before you took delivery. I was so keen to know more about it after hearing the engine note, and like you mentioned in the video, even I didn't know this one had a petrol engine. The salesman told me it was already sold. I was wondering who this tasteful gentleman was. The next day seeing his WhatsApp status I was so happy to see who took it, showed it to my brother also. A few weeks later we ended up getting the Altis GL (FL), and I can relate to a lot of things you said. I've always felt like it's the poor man's Crown 😂 (just my humble opinion). And the taillights have pink tinted reverse lights. My dad used to say Qualis had the best driving dynamics of all, no other car would match with it. I've never experienced the car, but my brother and I had two toys Qualis 😂 I had the pre-FL and my brother had the FL in red and champagne. I used to wonder why he got the better looking Qualis, but now I'm realising I had the GS T, like any other kid I've also tried to peel the graphics off.

I have a friend who had a Honda city 1.5 Type 2 and a Qualis. After a while they sold the Honda city and retained the Qualis for the longest time I know. This is 20 years back. And I was a hardcore Honda city fan.

My father had owned 2-3 qualis and one was rs, the renowned "പച്ച qualis" in my childhood. When I was eighteen years old he again bought a pre facelift gs version . We had it for more than one year. This car helped me to be very confident in driving, because of the driving position it gave a great view outside and it has zero blind spot, although I learned driving much earlier.During the ownership period i understand how Indians fell in love with this vehicle and I am grateful that I had the privilege of owning and using this car for an extensive time❤

Well It's not even a surprise people buying the Qualis even now, not as an eight seater under 3-4 lakhs but for it's reliability, quality and the undeniable driving experience it gives on the road. Being a Qualis owner and enthusiast I have no problem vouching that I have never come across such a great Qualis master like you! I need to watch this episode several times to grasp all of it. The RS model you have is indeed a great car that it is kept almost in showroom condition after some twenty years! I have a similar experience like you that I found a well maintained diesel RS in 2015. I made it better in Autostarke and proudly own it till date. I still remember getting into a Qualis for the first time. Got in, looked through the windshield and wowza! The sheer visibility had me going woah! Having driven only modern cars up untill that point, it actually took me a while to get used to the proximity of the front glass, the sheer visibility (തിരുവനന്തപുരം അജന്തയിലെ 70mm സ്ക്രീൻ പോലുണ്ട് എന്നാണ് പറഞ്ഞത്) and the overall command over the road! While the driving dynamics doesn't really align with my preferences, nothing beats a cruise in a Qualis with the windows rolled down on a chilly evening!

It was a wonderful episode. Qualis is my childhood favorite vehicle, especially RS Variant. 😇
