Test drove both today. Went in thinking I would love the rav4 but unless you get the most expensive models everything in the interior feels cheap, the rogue was nicer inside and the ride was way better. The rav4 felt sluggish and the rogue was more responsive. Overall the rogue is a nicer vehicle and they recently changed the CVT to using a chain. Nissans are going to be much more reliable going forward.
i bought a rav 4 trail 2024 and it is the greatest regret of my life. my father got a nissan 2021 rogue SV and man, rav 4 is outclass in interior feel, and freaking technology. i feel extremely stupid by fallowing other peoples opinion. and rav 4 is more expensive too by 5-8k CAD fck me.
I had a guy rear end my 2019 Rav4 and take off his insurance rented me a Nissan Rogue recently and i save $10.00 at the pump, it's very good on Gas. The Nissan takes $40.00 to fill and the Rav4 is filled with $50.00
Are you kidding? Toyota makes a better engine than Nissan, in what world? Just Google how long do Nissan engines last, and Google how long do Toyota engines last. Nissan engines tend to last 50k to 75k more miles than Toyota. And the Nissan has variable compression turbo….so it’s much more advanced in technology. Toyota turbo’s are failing early, and the non-turbos burn oil.
This is the best comparison video I have ever seen. Great and thanks. One little additional information: Rav has wireless apple car play and android auto whereas Rogue has wired one.
The face of the Rav4 is like a sad emoji 😢and the interior is too basic..it gives you a very thick tablet with small screen in the top middle of the dashboard with radio below..LOL😂😅😂
The Rogue has better interior quality, and the seating (both front and second row seat) is more comfortable than the RAV4. Also, in 2024, it has a brand new 12 inch screen. The ride quality on the Rogue is also more refined and the engine is quiet, compared to the RAV4 which I found to be loud. The Rogue also has better MPG. However, the RAV4 can withstand more abuse than the Rogue. The Rogue is more delicate, while the RAV4 has better durability.
How do you know the RAV can stand more abuse? Nissans usually do good with lack of maintenance and being durable. I think your wrong on the durability statement, but I agree with your build quality statements.
@@donrandle8999 Based on experience on my own car. If you have the latest Rogue or Altima with the VC Turbo engine, try to skip or be late on the maintenance schedule here and there. See what happens. Now do the same with the RAV4 or Camry with its N/A engine and regular AT.
If I’m on a budget but care about reliability, should I buy the rouge or the rav4? I like all the base safety features on the rouge and I see so many on the road, but I like that the rav4 is a little smaller. This would be my first car
Availability of the RAV is the issue. Currently only available RAVs are for cars in production and sept/oct delivery. Better tech in the rogue. Both have harsh engine/road noise at freeway speed
Being bald and living in the desert southwest having more sun in the car is not a good idea. My new XLE Premium has one and I wish it didn't. Due to the harsh environment here, I expect that the seal will eventually dry and crack too. Should only be an option not standard.
I've never seen a vehicle with a sunroof that did not have a deployable shade. Does the RAV4 not have one? As for the seal, apply 303 Aerospace Protectant a couple/few times a year, and you won't need to worry. (All the rubber seals should receive this treatment to improve their longevity anyway.)
I wish Nissan hired an expert like you to tell them that 3 cylinder engine never outlast. They really missed your valuable advice and they invested billions of dollars in these engines.. So sad rite
@@bigpebbleand looks nicer is subjective and implies you only care what other people think of you, rather doing what’s best for your wallet. This is why Americans have 1.1 trillion in credit card debt- emotional spending.
@@lancebasss3959 Maybe. Reasons for debt have to do with impulse buying and inability to save money. I never carry CC debt unless it is a no interest promotion. I bought a RAV4 Prime for cash this year. Saved for it. Interest rates are at 8%. Nissan makes good cars but the Rogue is underpowered.
I have the X-Trail Ti-L model (top-of-the-line), which has significantly more features, larger, nicer screens, and a higher quality interior. Even the Toyota RAV 4 Prime does not have that much luxury and feature packed interior.
Who would buy a Nissan CVT, literally the worst CVT, Toyota and Honda makes the best ones and most reliable. Yeah the Nissan might be a bit prettier here and there but reliability beats cute on a car.
Rogue same as CRV AAND TOYOTA in JD POWER reliability the CVT issues in NISSAN are a thing of the past.Quit drinking Toyota KOOL AIDE!!!!!And Rogue engine just awarded Ward's ten best engines made.loll
