Toyota doesn't take the Indian market seriously. Nobody makes a fool of the Indian customers as much as Toyota does, then probably Honda will come. The Japanese giants are just taking the Indian automotive market for a ride. They are offering almost nothing to us here in India compared to other places. I don't know why, and whom to blame, is it the manufacturer or the government for their aggressive tax regime, which discourages the OEMs to produce good cars. Or is it the customers who are stupid enough to buy an overpriced and an overrated car like Fortuner in a crazy manner. I think we should stop hyping Toyota in India a little bit especially the Fortuner. Then I think it will send a message to the OEM.
Certainly government. Our government doesn't want more cars on the road. Logic behind is lack of roads and space of parking. They can't keep up the speed of building new roads and repairing existing ones. But if govt reduced the tax on cars, there will be a flood of cars on Indian roads. On the other hand, people of India are suffering due to higher tax rates on automobile industries in India.
Toyota, Honda and Ford don't manufacture their products in India.. They assemble their car's parts in India.. They have to pay 35% custom duty on CKD units... So, it increases the overall price of the cars.. If they launch this car in India, then it'll be expensive due to 35% custom duty on CKD units. So, no point to launch this car in India.... Only Maruti-Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata, Mahindra and force motors manufacture their complete cars in India. They don't have to pay custom duty...
Not at all 9.7 lakh. This will launch in India (if there is any chance) at a price range of atleast 16 lakh. That's a huge SUV with some great features. No way this is 9.8 lakhs.
This car is around 16 lacs INR for base model in UAE.. no way they will sell it at 10 lacs inr in India.. if they launch it, it will be between 20 to 25 lacs INR..
@@safranmohammed4839 true, toyota cheapest was Etios Liva around 6L, now Urban Cruiser is the same as Grand Vitara and lowest model is same as GV Sigma and costs ex-showroom 10.8L, so they may not even launch VELOZ in India considering Urban Cruiser

I don't think this car will be launched in India.. But I do have a feeling that Maruti Suzuki XL6 will be rebadged as Veloz/Qualis. Pricing will be between 17-21 lacs ex-showroom. Variant will include the hybrid version too.

Pls don't buy the car . I have worst experience after buying hyryder from Ravindu Toyota iskon Bangalore branch. Quality they compromised is unimaginable. Complaint given to Sales president Mr Anand but they didn't even show the courtesy to revert back.tzen I tried sell this new car 20k driven which 8 bought for 18lacs but they quoted 11 lacs for 1 year old car. They them self not confident about this car .pls don't buy . Pls buy Kia or Hyundai.

Toyota People think Indians are Bewakuf All model which are outdated as well as outdated technology provided to us as always and it's opposite small Asian country like Malesiya ,Hong Kong Thailand give their latest and upgraded version...They are just time pass in Indian market..Never Serious for Indian market
Unlike the Korean’s the Japanese always launched outdated and old models in India. Toyota Qualis being an example. Irrespective of the tax regime, they preferred Thailand & Indonesia market over India. It has only been complicated by the crazy structure that we have where 40-50% of the ex showroom price is the tax component.

9.8 l is 1/4th of the actual price if mistakenly it comes in india, govt. bad taxation rules make indian market as very expensive and ultimately this gets hammered on buyers and more to it we pay tax while buying cars, anyhow 1 ki jagah we pay 30 out of which govt. earns almost 20-22 .. and after buying at such hefty price we are bombarded with numerable rules, this 10 years rule for diesel car is the most worst. indian govt. is just tries its best to loot money out of public pockets, tax at every fuckin thing. Miss these videos are total waste, no use as these cars may never show up in india and if miraculously they show up than definable it will be four to five times of what you quoted.

Toyota will never launch this in India, they've got a good thing going for them by rebadging Suzuki cars they take Indian customers for granted and over price their products. Customers should stop patronizing the brand to get a fair deal from the company.

Ek mahine mein itne showroom jaa chuki ho aap lekin kaunsi gaadi kaareda aapne 😆. Showroom toh hum bhi jaa satke hai, youtuber ko itne paise milenge toh sahi hai hum bhi mahine ke 2 - 3 gaadi kareed lenge. No way this car is ever going to be launched for 10 lakhs. If you believe that, then you are too naive. Tata punch base variant comes for around 7 lakhs just to put things into perspective.

no toyota is not going to sell this car for 9.8lakhs. It will be between 20 and 25 lakhs for sure. Veloz is not like a mini fortuner, but it is more like an ertiga style body design. Taxis operators are widely using this car in middleast markets. Also people use it as family car.
Thq for the vid, indeed its a wonderful car at first look, and I wonder if we could have it in our country, where even the length is costing us... but our culture claims to be family oriented! If our govts care for family n values n thus happiness of its people, they must make this kind of machines easily available to family loving people.
