I'm so glad I found this video. I came here looking for answer to the same problem on my 2005 Sequoia. After getting it back from the body shop I noticed the loose exterior handle. Opened everything up after watching this video and sure enough found the missing bolt at the bottom of the door on the inside just like he says! Put the bolt back on and problem solved! This channel is a live saver.
I had this exact problem on my Sequoia that I just bought. The bolt was also in the bottom of the door haha. The most helpful thing for me was pulling the exterior handle which allowed me direct access to the bolt hole as it pulls the interior lever down. Thanks for the excellent video!
