There is no reason to make that long run on Lake of the Ozarks to catch 3 fish. You could have stayed within a few miles of take off and had more fishing time and probably caught a limit.

He is using this boat as a badge of honor almost just to say if he did win “ see I won with this 1980s boat “ and if you didn’t win you could say “ I didn’t win because of this old boat “ your ridiculous randy and then you’ve got this brand new boat deal and they couldn’t let you borrow a used boat for 3 days

Randy...again this situation just doesn't make sense. Why would you jeopardize your ability to move on by using a totally unreliable boat? Surely an angler of your stature could have obtained a better boat option for this tournament. I'm willing to bet a number of your followers are dumbfounded by this.

I think you are 15th in points now.?? YA! I hope you make it but you didnt only shoot yourself in the foot fishing with that boat, I think you were aiming to shoot yourself in the head using it. It was maybe okay if you sat around close to the launch but to run long in it? And poor co-angler. Big fan here but I think it was self sabotage.

I guess I was waaay out of line suggesting that you stay close , and spend more time fishing than running, and gassing up most of the day. You definitely gave your non-boater a nightmare story to tell his buddies for years to come!

If you took his boat to a marine dealership that you brought that boat to get checked out I would be on the phone with them cause it sounds like they charged you to check out a boat and they did not check out ur buddies boat , I would be pissed , Dead boat battery and they did not change a fuel line ? Sounds like they did not do anything , that motor should of ran with no problems

Idk but I remember he said he took it to some place to get it looked at cause of the killing problem while running , he did not need all this to happen today , money on the line , plus entry fee , I would want to ring someone’s neck , to me it sounded like a bad fuel line cause those squeeze balls on the line go bad and when it does the ball want stay hard , plus bad cranking battery , he did not need all these issues , he’s now fishing his tournament 2nd day , that boat should have been ready to go , so to me it sounds like the place he brought it to did not do anything but charge him

The only reason a bulb will go flat is debris covering the filter screen inside the fuel tank. But my big question is, since you don't own a boat and it was a borrowed boat, how could you have had the required $300,000 liability insurance on a boat not owned or registered to you????

Ok Randy, as many of us predicted, your decision to use the Ranger was a mistake. We think you sacrificed your tournament chances on purpose for the opportunity to out fish those with $100,000 boats and the latest “cheater box” y technologies. We feel like you would have caught 3 more keepers during the tourney giving you 10 instead of 7 and top 30 finish. Very disappointing for someone with your background and lake knowledge. Tournament anglers should be concerned with catching their next fish, not wondering if their boat will make it back to the weigh in.

I'm curious I own a small business and have had to rent a truck or equipment when mine were down and needed repairs. Is there somewhere to rent bass boats ? I don't know of a place but it seems about anything can be rented if needed.

I was at the weigh in and on the lake fishing yesterday, you didn't need to run an hour. the lake was rough, Im surprised your TM batteries lasted 1 hour. that boat was borderline dangerous out there with that wind and chop especially in a skethcy boat. I'm just mystified by everything like so many others here. . hard to compete when you handicap yourself 50% right out the door. what competitor does that? generally like your content tho, guess thats all that matters
