Me and my '87 Turbo are still together after 23 years. I got it at the LAX auction in '96 for $5,200. It needed a head gasket but it's their loss for not fixing it. It had 110K miles, now has 294K miles. Everything is rebuilt: engine, transmission, differential, driveshaft brakes, AC pump, power steering pump, rack and pinion, upgraded bushings with energy Suspension bushings. 16 inch MK IV 5 spoke rims. Has a C's short shifter and the super monitor option. The fuel economy not that great but I don't drive a lot since I'm retired. Probably the last car I will want own. I'm usually trolling eBay for parts. The bones of many Supras has kept mine on the road along with new old stock parts. Tip to self: don't use the clutch to slow the car. It's a lot easier to replace brake pads than a clutch disc.
lotta great times and good memories in the supra. only had mine for about a year .. haha good times. always wanted a MKIV but never got around to it. 91 Supra 5sp
Gracias x hacer este video, este coche se merece eso y mas,yo tengo UNO del 88 y es mi joya,no lo cambio x nada,un saludo a todos Los amantes de este gran coche
I have a 92 MKIII Supra Turbo Targa 5-speed for sale now on eBay Motors. Teal with shadow grey cloth. Car is original and runs extremely strong, no mechanical issues. Car is in NJ. Must sell. Car needs very little to be perfect.
1987 Supra Turbo came stock with a blown head gasket. Bought for $200. :) I now own a 1990 Supra with a 1jz in there. Cosmetically isn't the best, but I'm working on that. Supra's are such amazing cars, I can't explain it.
This is a fine tribute to the finest car ever made. I'm working on a video called Supra Chronicle and it's a huge compilation of my new Turbo, starting from Christmas day when I got my camera. It'll go through the whole life of the car. Sequels will come out when I change something big on it. So far, we have a head gasket replacement (or part of it) and the morning after I spun a bearing. :(
For your information I've got a 87' Supra. In this video I used the better pictures I had, no matter what year of the car it was. If you don't like the vid go ahead and make your own.
nice vid, wish it could just be longer, the 2 minutes flew by watching this :P supra ftw =) wish i had enuff money to do a full build on my mk3.. pair my 7m with an hks t51r, slighlty bigger grind cams, full 3.5" straight pipe, FFIM, etc. etc. etc. ... maybe if i had enough money , even bore it to a safe 3.2L as well as a stroker kit for like a 3.4L or even push it to a 3.5L result if possible... 3.5L 7M with t51r and straight pipe.... damn... would love to hear it roar... a man can dream...
almost bought one but i had trouble finding a good one in my budget so i went for an sc300 theyr its all one big straight 6 RWD family MKIII, MKIV, and SCs unite!
My dad still has his mk3 ....passed down ....no lie search this video ion RU-vid....reaction time second annual BBQ ....as you'll see the mk3 my dads car opens the video and ends it and gets great respect
@WestLosHomiez that is what i told him that i would rather have a rx7 than a rx8 shinka, and the rx8 would be shit compare to the rx7. But my dad is an old guy and likes new technology and wants to look more formal. the other we drove down to detriot to check a mk4, but the paint job was done by maaco and there was an oil leak. So hopefully i get a mk4. thanks man
