after hearing about how formula 1 cars are essentially disposable that makes sense. they put the redline on those super high up but they also let the engine blow itself up after just a few races because of it
@@perkypears not so much anymore since F1 teams are now limited to 3 engines per season with the new rules. V10 era F1 cars though absolutely ran through engines revving over 10 000 RPM
@@XB-70Valkyrie-d3k it is. It's based on the Judd GV which was used as an F1 engine during the 3.5L era. It was also used by Mazda and a few other teams in WSC when Bernie had them run the same engine rules
I'm old, (therefore, old school,) and I love the sound and power of traditional American V-8's. But I have to say that some of the shit that's out these days just blows me away! Serious props.
Honda kind of did, the HSV-010 GT500 was supposedly going to be in production but the 2007 recession hit them hard; it was supposed to have a V10, but the GT500 version had a V8 from a Formula Nippon race car
They made V8’s and V10’s for a few teams late 80’s and early 90’s. Not sure this exact one was the ones they made back in the day, but they did make them.
BOSS (Big Open Single Seaters) GP is a series where they take second hand indy cars, f1 cars, maybe some f2 cars and such, and just race them. So it's cars from 80s, 90s, 2000s.
Well there is this other guy who also put a Ferrari v8 in a WRX, so compared to WRX swap, the Supra and Gt86 are much more controllable and perhaps will not break down
@xMIK3YxMANIACx I know, I lived there before, it sucks there too, but the people in Commifornia can't. But they stay there. I wouldn't, I love freedom.
@@ctdope You dope, California is the best state in the union. High paying jobs, beautiful women and perfect weather. But if you can't survive, we will bounce you out quick. Not everyone prioritizes car mods, grow up.
FYI, most of JUDD engines has rebuild interval of 3000km. Which means if you slap this on your daily car, you'll have to rebuild it on every 4-5months.
That's when you're revving them to the moon. He limited it to the 11k in order to increase its lifespan. It should last a fair bit longer than the 3000km standard interval.
@@bglenn2222 Does that automatically mean the life span can be further increased by limiting it below 11k? how would it compare to a production engine then?
@@bglenn2222 No, that's a race car engine. High performance engines need to be rebuilt quite often. He might have squeezed maybe another thousand or 2 miles out of it before needing a rebuild by lowering the red line, but that won't keep if from wearing out.
@@pluto8404 It was putting out 320 hp stock. No manufacturer was making even super cars with 2000 hp stock in the 80s. They weren't even in the 700 hp range yet.
@@trsskaterold had v10 as well right? Modded differences are what? Durability? Old one was more durable? The twin engine was Toyota and the other was a gtrs for the old ones? Meanwhile new one uses formula one… speed is the same? Acceleration is probably faster?
i love drifting, custom cars, crazy mods and racing. my dad said he will sell me his 7th gen celica gt. i also want a supra, skyline gtr, all the cool rides.
@LatestHour Judd had some v10's in a few very old Formula 1 engines, but this is not that version. That's like ordering a Ford crate V8 and calling it a NASCAR engine.
@@yoslauda4714 Thought so. So it's probably a 3.5 L stroked V10¿ Who did Judd supply motors too?. (Hence the low idle & redline, I'm sure a true F1 motor idles far more than 2k rpm, I'd hazard to guess twice that, and 11,000 rpm redline; them F1 engines were able to rev to 14 and even 15,000 rpm if I'm not mistaken). ⚙️☢️ 〽️😵💫🙉 🐢◽▫️▪️🔸🔹🚀 🛸🥝:..
There isn't. The script for the AI is room temp iq. The 4L is from early lmp1 days. But the engine uses the same architecture as the 3L they offered for F1.
It's just in the idea stage rn, but i'm gonna put Aventador's 6.5L v12 in my hyundai sedan. Ik it sounds crazy but a 2 seater hyundai with a v12 strapped in the back? Dream come true
you're 13 lil bro, you dont own shit. You also have 187k subs and your highest view video only has 15k views. How much did you spend on the botted subs broski. Might be able to own a hyundai one day if you stop buying subs for your channel that nobody watches.
@@justacomment1657 very rarely but agree some did , in fact more now than then as the drivers still drive the smaller low reving engine as hard as they did the higher reving bigger engines .
@@OfficialSpoilerAlertMaybe his contex is because of the engine that made by BMW anyone is hating MK5 so maybe that's why, i personally don't mind have that car but I'm also anxious about reliability of that engine even though it's the most reliable engine made by BMW so far

Judd was a rubbish F1 engine, this guy doesn't know what he's talking about, it's one of the worst ever. This wasn't even an F1 engine, its a LeMans engine, no Judd engine has ever won an F1 race, they usually blew up. No F1 car has had a 4l engine either, people just put any crap on RU-vid without fact checking anything.
Whoa whoa whoa calm down there mr. So sMaRt😅 You said "this wasn't even F1 engine" And then "no judd F1 engine ever won the gp, they blew" So it's basically you're trying to say "it's not on F1" and then "it's on f1, but it's suck" Wich one is the truth? I've checked the wiki page for this shit and it's fact, that they provide engine for F1 teams, ofc it's not 4L, but it's accordingly to F1 rules in the 70s, this one is just racing engine crate
@@yoslauda4714 it absolutely does, I watched actual teams use Judd engines in F1. You can't just push off information if it's completely incorrect, what are you a moron
I said earlier I had 2 friends, it was 3. Third guy had a 69 roadrunner with the wing. And change it into a Drag car called the bad trip. He would test drive it and give us rides just around the corner. This was the 70s
