Dadgummit!!! Yur costing me a ton of money....lol.....LOVE your videos. Even I can do the installs with the crystal clear instructions you give. SO appreciative!
My '06 Tundra had this, I've had my '16 Tundra for 4 years and STILL reach for that darn handle that isn't there, well it's there now! Early Christmas present from my wife, 10 minutes later boom, handle is in & looking great. If you have a newer Tundra just do yourself a favor & put this in. I just used a utility knife to make my cutout & it was fine. Thanks for the video, definitely made me more comfortable with the install.
Perfect... and, to be very honest I did not notice it until I started to watch all these videos. Very helpful and simple explanation. Easy to install. One more add-on to the list. Thanks for taking the time...!!!
NitroZ18 Fishing, Hey, I don't see Toyota or aftermarket part numbers for these items your installing. Could you direct me to this information please? 1) Panel and Handle are 1 kit? 2) Extruded "U" nut n Bolt (did you purchased them at an auto parts store?) Great video and information, I'm going to look into this being I hate not having one on my drivers side 2020 - 1794.
I am a disabled Vietnam veteran and this is imperative that I have it to get in and out of the vehicle. Just bought a 2021 Tundra and was plenty bummed out that it did not come with the grab handle installed. Thanks so much for this video. Can I assume that it will work on my 2021? Please advise/confirm. Barry Smith
@@NitroZ18Fishing where would be best place to go to get this done? I'm not much with a wrench. I've got a custom place that's real good that I've tracked down and has good rep...but don't know if he'd do this.
yea honestly any shop out there should be able to do this, and it shouldn't cost that much at all so don't let them rake ya over the coals for the install!...lol
Yepper, it’ll definitely fit…I’ve noticed a few parts that will say that…I’m guessing it’s because it technically isn’t a stock piece, hope that helps!
That’s what I’ve heard, but the airbag is the same on passenger side and they still have the handle there so it makes no sense to me…I’ve heard Toyota dealers jokingly say that they took it out just to make us spend more money 🤣🤣
Where are you bought grab handle driver side toyota tundra truck.i need one I don't know where I gonna get it. I don't know what's kind of websites to use it.
Hey Andrew!… I know I have them posted somewhere here in the comments but let me know if you have trouble finding them and I’ll post the direct links for you here under your comment!… Thanks for checking out the video!
Thank you!… I did not, but you can if you want to to be on the safe side… You barely touch or disturb the airbag in that area so to me it wasn’t necessary, but usually I do whenever working around a bag like that!...thanks for watching!
Usually I would anytime I’m working around an airbag but this install is super easy and you don’t really disturb the airbag at all...you could if you wanted to be extra cautious but most don’t with this one...hope that helps!
That I’m not sure of, I would check with Toyota to be sure...if I had to guess I don’t think it would fit, but I don’t know much about the 4Runner so I can’t be certain!
I’ve also wondered this but never been able to confirm that myself, makes no sense to me that they would leave it on the passenger side if they felt it wasn’t safe, but who knows!
Just so you know, the '07 - '13 door pillar with handle will work. I took the handle out of my totaled '08 and put it in my '21; same gray interior color.
Thank you!...and yea maybe it’s the airbag thing, that could definitely be the case...but man I love having it, especially with being lifted...hahaha... thanks for watching!
I didn’t, I guess you could to be on safe side, I did disconnect when I disassembled dash in my other video, but doing this install is very minor and you barely touch the airbag at all...wouldn’t hurt, that’s for sure!
I didn't and I don't see that you'd need to as long as you're careful. One note - I got my parts online from Sparks Toyota and the extruded U-nut and bolt were both in the box. However, they shipped with an 11mm bolt so make sure you have an extra socket handy. Kind of strange. I guess that's what was laying around the shop...
Got mine from Roman at Toyota of Cool Springs, it’s 2 different parts, I can post the links for ya...this is the pillar you need parts.toyotaofcoolsprings.com/oem-parts/toyota-windshield-pillar-trim-622200c050b0
I did a little research for ya and the only company I found so far that has one for “pre-order” is ktjo4x4.com...I’ve never ordered anything from them so I’m not too familiar with them but they do list it for the 3rd Gen Taco’s...hope that helps!
NitroZ18 Fishing I actually ordered from that website after I commented on this video! Lol I pulled the trigger, it’s just so necessary to have that grip handle. Especially with these black ”leather” seats on my taco.
my kit from Toyota of Cool Springs did not unfortunately...I believe if you order through Sparks Parts they will send it for ya!...and it's definitely worth it to install this handle!
You can order them from any Toyota dealer… They may try to tell you it doesn’t fit but that’s not true some dealers are just a little more strict than others when it comes to selling parts that don’t come on the truck from the factory
What’s up buddy!...no prob, you need 2 pieces, here’s the link for the pillar parts.toyotaofcoolsprings.com/oem-parts/toyota-windshield-pillar-trim-622200c050b0
Thank you!...Here’s the link for the complete set up from Sparks parts… Hope it helps! www.sparksparts.com/p-2014-toyota-tundra-grab-handle-kit-gray-pktungrabb0
yes sir, no prob...got mine from Cool Springs Toyota, link for the pillar is parts.toyotaofcoolsprings.com/oem-parts/toyota-windshield-pillar-trim-622200c050b0?c=aT04NDMyNjQ1NSZyPTE%3D
@@NitroZ18Fishing damn you posted this video 2 years ago and you’re still replying, what a legend. I really want a Tundra after seeing yours and countless other videos 🤣
Hahaha…yea man I appreciate all the support from you guys, I always try to keep up with responses to help people out!…and get one, you won’t regret it!…thanks for following the channel!
The fact you have to do a cut is just ridiculous. Why don’t they just sell these cut from the factory? Also, they want almost $170 for this kit and that’s with a discount. No way can I justify that.
I totally agree, ridiculously overpriced… But I absolutely love having it in the truck… Thankfully they’ve come to their senses and they are putting it back in the next GEN…haha
