The manual gearbox is very strong. No issues.

Fuel economy is highly dependent on how you drive. These cars are in the same region on consumption. However, I'll give the Vitz more marks even if it has a 1.3l while a Note has 1.2l. It is lighter and weight matters in fuel economy.

​@@0-60motoring.Your response is based on opinion not data. Maybe you can research more on the fuel economy...all factors equal, on highway and off highway

Be specific. Like you covered how many kilometers and used how much fuel? I know why I'm asking.

When researching 'Economical' it s wise to consider the cost of resolving known mechanical issues. The Nissan with CVT is sure to cost thousands to repair when (not if) the CVT fails. In most cases CVT failure would mean it is more economical to scrap the car rather then repair it.

Yes. It's not some time to time small cost. Its early, permanent and non repairable failure. Costs thousands to repair when it happens possibly writing off an otherwise good relatively new vehicle. Just avoid all Nissans with CVT. There are some other brands that use the same JAPCO transmission. Do research and avoid these as well.

Fit can easily turn out the winner because its spacious as the Note and reliable as the Vitz. Those are key aspects. The main downside is that its expensive than the rest.

Technically as described by antonyjenga. In common language - avoid it on any Nissan. It will cost you thousands to repair in a couple of years.
