Alright so my dad has a toyota yaris sedan 2012 and he is saying that it is bad for the engine to turn on A/C because it is a small engine. My question is is it gonna effect the engine?
that’s crazy cause my dad said the exact same thing hahahah. and i have a toyota yaris 2008 and our dads are right. Ive noticed tht it drains my petrol because the ac is making the engine being used more. and maybe it’s a mental thing but i feel like it affects the acceleration and breaking of my car but it might be true because it does reduce the power of the car since the ac requires a heavy load.
Uhm, no lol if you have the 1.0 yaris with 69 hp or less you might notice the difference if you’re uphill or it’s rly hot outside but otherwise it won’t ruin the engine it might be slightly down on power but it will be so little difference that u won’t even notice.
Sir if my 2011 model Toyota yaris car radiator water dries and car heats up at max level then how to know that car is overheated..because it has no Manual indicator as usual..?
It may seem counter-intuitive to run your mobile A/C when the weather’s cool, or even freezing, however running the A/C in the winter not only does not do any harm to your heating/cooling system, it may in fact, offer benefits. Simply put, running the A/C and heater will dehumidify and remove moisture from the air. To explain further, the relative humidity is the percentage to the dew point for droplets to form. This point increases as temperatures rise. Therefore, the heater alone will heat the air, but to actually remove moisture, you have to cool the air below the dew point with the A/C. If you only use the heater core, and not the A/C condenser also, the air will be hot, but likely moist, and it won’t defrost or defog the interior of the car. So the car must use the A/C condenser to first remove the moisture. This will help to slow rust and other water damage (such as upholstery glue coming undone) and prevent fogging windows. Therefore, the AC should always be on in most cars (even in the winter).
