Yup, was like walking into a warehouse stacked with shelves of toys, arts/crafts, videogames back when I was getting board games, figures, and NES/Genesis/TG16 games there from 1985-1995. Noticed they looked a bit different in 1999 when I was trying to find an extra Dreamcast VMU and didn't go again until 2003 and noticed the huge differences.
I was able to visit Toy's R Us a few times when I came to Texas 29 yrs ago. I remember I wanted lots of barbie dolls, but at that time my father couldn't afford to buy me a lot barbie's.. so now I started my collection of vintage barbie's. They're sooo pretty
Ah the good old days.. I remember one xmas holiday in the late 70’s me and family were getting ready to head to toy’s r us for the 1st time and just when we were on the zone we paused for a while to check out special tv show hosted by Casey Kasem & still remembered a tune sung by The wings which of course lead singer was Paul Marcartney singing “simply having a wonderful Xmas time” after awhile we all went out in our adventure in a snowy day..wata perfect ending to the tail in NY Richmond hill🎁🎄❄️☃️🌨
I have sad news that Toys 'R Us is closing down forever. I saw the one in Kingston, NY is closing down, and so does the rest of the stores are now closing down forever. First was Kmart, then Sears, and now this. Sad to see it go. RIP: Toys 'R Us 😰😰😰😰😰
Wonder Woman at Toys R Us? I was a kid back then! I woulda been there but noooo! Mom would never have gone for an 11 year old kid like me getting snugly with a smoking hot superheroine in satin tights. Love don't work like that, apparently.
Ollie's Bargain Outlet occupies a few former "Toys R Us" sites in particular American states. That means patrons will be admiring an animated old man named "Ollie" rather than Geoffrey the Giraffe.
Well, 200 stores are still here...i guess. I mean, i live in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and some toys r us stores are open at shopping malls, like KLCC, Mid Valley and Greatster Mall
