To be completely honest, we ended up paying her. We're both not very good at dealing with remorse for not helping others which then leads to scams like these working really well on people like us. And definitely! Some countries have a lot more of this than others - I remember seeing this in Jordan too. And glad to hear that you enjoyed the video! ☺️
Honestly me as a tunisian, everytime me and my Family come in the Summer Time and Go to Places Even as Tunisians we also get this parking "Scam" a lot. It is basically just people trying to charge for goverment parking lots it is Not just a thing that Happens to Tourists
The hustling and scamming in Tunisia was a lot LESS than I expected, I thought it was pretty relaxed actually compared to other countries 😅 Best is to just go with the flow, perhaps learning some words in the local language to respond them in can help.

It's indeed very frustrating when people try to extract kindness and generosity out of you and scam you It looks like such a wonderful place to visit though. But the hustlers constantly annoying you would get old fast.
