I have it and I love it, its coverage is strong even with thick walls on a two floor house, I am using it with a200/200 fiber connection, I have seem that the speed depends on the signal of the client.
I don't have a Huawei AX3, so I can't test, but the ax3 doesn't have a USB port, and only has 3 LAN ports. But you might get quicker speeds out of the Huawei. I'm not a fan of the weird shape of the Huawei either. Beyond that, I can only speculate.
Thanks a lot. Does this router support bandwidth control for each device alone by entering the ip and speeds for each device separately.????? Thanks very much
I want to upgrade my router being I have a Belkin N600 DB that’s eight years old but still works good. Sometimes lags.. it’s Tri band as well. I know this TP link doesn’t support tri-band. My question is, I don’t have any Wi-Fi 6 compatible devices just yet. Would this still be quicker then my old router ? I also don’t need many connected devices being I am the only person in my home. I just need connection for my phone iPad and fire stick, and a few wireless cameras
You may seem some speed increases with a newer router (tech gets better over time) even without wifi 6 devices, it all depends. But thinking about upgrading an 8 year old router isn't a bad idea.
@@BudgetNerd ok thanks. I got it on Amazon for $71 about a month ago but I have until today to return so I wasn’t sure if I should stick with it. I’ll be disappointed if I have the same speeds. Thanks for your input
I do mention quite a few more like, better encryption, better protection for passwords, saving battery life on some devices, smoother streaming and one I didn't mention, WiFi 6 is far more efficient at using it's available bandwidth.
Hello everyone can anyone help me with an opinion? I want to get a router and I don't decide which one to take. These are TP Link Archer AX53 and TP Link Archer AX 55 ?
I'm looking to purchase this router to use as an access point in a section of my house that will be used by 4-6 people. Do you recommend this as an access point?
can you move your ax21 wifi-6 router to a different location after setting it up? Like after setup can I move it to a different room and connect it to my ps5 from lan ?
Hi your review its great, I just have doubt regarding de MU-MIMO, on the web page it didn't mentioned that include MU-MIMO, obviously the wifi 6 standard include MU-MIMO and OFDMA, do you know about it on this TP-Link AX21 wifi 6 Router, or can you help to clarify this question?
If you are actually typing it into a dedicated search bar and you are not connected to the internet, you are getting that message because you are attempting to load a page searching for that string, and your device is failing to load the page because you aren't connected to anything.
I have a TP link AC1750 (v1) and the 5 Ghz channel sucks. The firmware updates unfortunately don't apply to the V1 edition. So, will this be a significant upgrade for me? (My AC1750 works great with good range for the 2.4Ghz channel, but again, the 5Ghz sucks!)
Hi great video. Would devices still work with this router if there knot wifi 6 compatible as just normal on what wifi there compatible with. And using a wifi 6 router was therefore a good idea to use as for future using Thanks 👍

I was not paid. I have never been paid. RU-vid forces us to put that little label on there if we are even sent something to review. All my videos are my honest opinion.
I need to know these things 1. antenna power gain in dbi? i.e. 5dbi or 6dbi 2. total Sq.ft coverage i.e. 2000 or 300 sq.ft 3. What's the MU-MIMO technology used in this router? 2x2 or 4x4 or higher? 4. And lastly, the Heating issue is present like AX50 or not? Any long term review/suggestion to the prospective buyers like me?
Just wondering, would you be willing to make a video on Port Fowarding / Port Triggers. For example, Being able to Create - Identify - Designate "Open" ports for applications or devices. I am currently having issues with certain pc games or xbox services where data will go out, but wont be able to come back in because the ports are closed. So far my only work around is open up port ranges. Could you help me out?
Question - This router says speeds up to 1.8 gbps but why when doing a speed test over the Internet we're only hitting maybe 200-300 mbps down? Keep in mind test is done over wireless but Im right next to the router.
Those are local speed/transfer rates. The speed test you are talking about is an internet speed test, which is limited by your internet package you are paying for.
@@BudgetNerd I have a gig coming from my isp. I’ve never hit those speeds on tp link or UniFi over wireless. I haven’t tried wired on the tp link yet but I should be able to hit the gif over the wire I would suspect?
Yes I would see what you get wired to the router. It should be close to your 1Gbps. You might also make sure your modem supports that speeds. Older ones won't support that much speed. If it doesn't, you'd replace your modem or have your ISP provide a new one.
@@BudgetNerd the tp link is my first device. I come out from the wall directly into the tp link. My isp initially provided me a google Wi-Fi Device. It was awful. Right now I’m using the smart Wi-Fi stuff but I’ve noticed our Xbox is only connecting to 2.4. Without separating the Wi-Fi bands I assume there is no way to force it to 5G correct?
What is the model of your tp link? Which Xbox? It may connect to 2.4 if that's what's being broadcast. Xbox One and newer supports 5.0Ghz. if it won't connect, you might need to separate the bands.
Hi! My question is a bit unrelated to the video but I thought commenting on this recent video would have a higher chance of getting a response. So, I've been talking to my ISP for some time now because I wanted to do some port forwarding so I can set up a Minecraft Server for my friends to join, but I have some problems: My ISP is the one who provided the router and they won't let me change settings on it without their assistance AND they say it's not possible to port forward without a Static Public IP (mine is dynamic, I guess that's the most common type) and I have to pay for that. This means they won't port forward unless I pay for a static IP. And so my question is whether or not what they're claiming is true, because according to what I read online it's not and I honestly wouldn't mind looking up my Public IP address every time I want my friends to join. Some additional info: I live in Brazil and I have no other ISPs to choose from (that are decent) in my area and they just won't let me use my own equipment, so I have no choice other than relying on them changing settings for me. And something else that led to me getting even more suspicious of what they're saying that (and I find it super creepy) they can access my router via my public IP and change settings or even reboot it(they showed it to me on a video call)!!!! Like, doesn't that mean it's possible to port forward on it?
Tudo bom? (I spent two years in Brasil! In Paraiba and Rio Grande do Norte! País bontia!) For port forwarding to be reliable and always up, a static IP address is recommended. While you can port forward to a dynamic address, you do always have to double check what that address is. There are services which can act as DNS for a public dynamic address like NoIP, or DynamicDNS, but I'm not sure if they work in Brasil. While I do think it's possible, it could just be the ISP's policy to not do port forwarding without a static IP address. Them being able to control their equipment remotely is pretty common. Creepy maybe, but common. You also want to make sure you understand the security risks by opening up a port to the internet. I have a video about port forwarding. I didn't mention anything about security in the video, but there are lots of comments about that, and they are absolutely right. Why won't they let you purchase your own router? You could purchase and use your own router, and you would have complete control of this yourself. If what they gave you is a modem/router combo, you could call them up and ask them to put the modem/router combo into a bridge mode (only acting as a modem) and then hook up your own router. What if you used their modem and got your own router? That is what I do. Boa sorte!
Wait, can I just replace their equipment with one that's mine and it would still work? Like, the equipment they have here is this Huawei HG8120H, which takes care of the fiber signal and does the routing and DHCP. The problem is that for that I would have to buy one that also takes care of the fiber, since according to what they told me when I asked them to disable DHCP in their equipment to do it in one of my access points (so I could have more control over my network which is always good), they won't change any configs in theirs that don't follow their defaults, meaning they won't leave it as a Modem only. The reason why I thought I couldn't just replace theirs is because they told me there is some sort of authentication process that happens on their equipment (not sure what they mean by that though since I'm fairly new to this topic). And thanks for responding so fast! Obrigado!
That device is a modem and a router in one unit. You could try another device that is JUST a modem (and provide your own router) but there is no guarantee a different modem would work, or that they would allow it on their network. If they will let you use your existing unit as just a modem, and if they would disable the router features (bridge mode), you could use your own router, but if they won't even do that, then I'm not sure what options you would have.
Welp, just found out about another problem: apparently my network is under something called a CGNAT, which according to what I read so far, makes it impossible to port forward on a dynamic IP, meaning I would have to pay extra for a static one to do it. Fortunatley, however, I found a program called ngrok, which isn't ideal, but makes it possible to do what I wanted without port forwarding.
