I bought a pair of BE95s after watching your videos. I have set em up in AP mode and am using firewalla gold series as router. I am getting same speeds as you are.
If I want to replace my router with one of these mesh system I live in a small apartment would you recommend me getting only 1 I feel like getting 2 would be over kill. I was thinking about getting one BE63 Wi-Fi 7 what would your advice be?
What a great, very thorough video! I appreciate your dedication! With the be85 and be95 push internet and receive it over a distance? I have an inlaw suite 300ft south and a barn 250 north of my router. Will this style set up work for me?
There is a way to avoid the capping issue you mention on the ones with a 2.5gbps port, just use a 2.5gbps distribution switch to connect each one as opposed to daisy chaining them.
Great video and explanation. I have a question though - I am planning to have x50 poe 3 pack for three floors. If i use POE from my router to all 3 of them(without connecting them to each other wired or wireless) , will these still act as mesh system with same SSID or different ?
Thanks for the videos, great stuff. I have a question. I have a tp-link router AXE5400 which im very happy with but i'm wanting to get a mesh system to help with dead zones around my property. I'm thinking of the deco xe75 or deco xe75 pro. Will i still be able to utilize the axe5400 so not for it to go to waste, even if it is only used as an access point or repeater. Thanks.
Thank you for the excellent video, and please do not forget the review of the ASUS ZENWIFI BQ16 PRO and comparing it aganst the DECO BE95. THANK YOU SO MUCH
What is the primary difference between the BE85 and BE95? I have 1GB incoming and plan to wire two of the 3 nodes to Internet at opposite ends of the house. Also, if I buy a 4th node, do the standalone towers work for both connecting to the main router and as a wireless node? Thanks
This was so helpful!! I just switched over to AT&T fiber and need to purchase mesh Wifi. Can you please help me decide between the XE70 Pro vs XE75 Pro? I will be doing WIRELESS backhaul. Below are some additional details: - AT&T plan is 500mbps, but I may increase to a max of 1000mpbs depending on performance - My home is 2500sqft (3500sqft if you include back outside patio) - AT&T provided router BGW320 is in farthest corner of home. - 8-15 devices using wifi at any given time (computers, phones, tv, smart home devices) - Most critical need is for work (zoom meetings, uploading, etc.) and streaming (smart TVs) Can you provide an recommendation XE70 Pro vs XE75 Pro (or another product in same price range)? Also, can you confirm how many nodes/units you'd recommend getting? THANK YOU SO MUCH
I bought a Deco BE65 based off your reviews, thank you for that. But am I annoyed that they have a separate SSID for the 6ghz network??? Is there a technical reason for that??
Wow what a lineup! Thanks so much for this video, but looking at that lineup I’m soooo glad I got the BE65 due to its much smaller size. I get over gigabit speeds on them.
I’m going to replace my 10yr old Orbi mesh with BE95 soon. I have frontier fiber. You mentioned going directly from theONT to the “Main” Deco router. Will this work or will Frontier block access without their combo router? I could put their router in transparent bridge mode but if I don’t need their router it would be better. Love your channel. Thanks
thanks always for your amazing vids man. will wait for your review on ASUS BE88U, BQ16, and BT10 also, can you mention if a device have AFC or will soon have AFC or none at all?
No problem! When I get my hands on them, I'll be sure to review them. I haven't read much about AFC other than they're supposed to help with the 6GHz band to enable better performance and range because of increased power levels. I would imagine anything using the 6GHz band is already using this technology but this is my assumption, can't say for sure.
@@landpet base on what i researched, not all current wifi 7 routers have activated AFC.. others would have it via firmware update but some already have it activated on launch.. and most routers i found with activated AFC out of the box are ASUS routers
@landpet I was considering purchasing the Deco XE70 Pro. You had a coupon code that expires in August however it’s not valid. Do you have the correct code by any chance? Cause that’s going to determine if I get that one or the AX4300 Pro. Thanks in advance
@@landpet I completely understand and that makes sense. In your opinion which would be the best system for us. My house is 2,800 sq feet that includes a in-law attached through the garage, 7 bedrooms, and 2 floors. We are getting 300mps currently but are upgrading to 1 gig. We have many devices as well. We definitely want a 3 pack mesh, and will be hardwiring them and using at least 3 switches. But still has to have good wireless for devices not hardwired. Which ones would you recommend? Also does this setup sound like it will work hardwired as we are new to mesh systems…Modem > Main Deco > Switch #1 > 2nd & 3rd Node connected to Switch #1 > Switch #2 connected to 2nd Node > Switch #3 connected to 3rd Node. Thanks in advance.
Hi there! Thank you for your informative reviews. I was wondering which you recommend for my current household: 2500 sq ft. Two floors. 1Gbps Internet. Offices on opposite corners and floors of house. Gaming, streaming, etc on multiple devices. Torn between a single BE85 for speeds or doing a Dual BE63 wireless backhaul setup for coverage / hardline access for the downstairs office PC. Currently just using the standard ATT Wifi 6 router but streaming devices downstairs will have spotty connection/coverage (similarly priced on Amazon right now). I'm sure anything would be an upgrade from the standard ATT modem but want to be a little more "future proof" conscious with this purchase. I would appreciate any advice or recommendation you have! Sorry for the lengthy question/comment..
Do you have an in depth review of the Deco App? I just purchased the XE75 and will set it up soon. I want to create 2 networks 1 dedicated to 2.4 ghz and the other to 5 ghz and use the 6 ghz for the wireless back haul based on you suggestion. I also want a network with both 2.4 and 5 turned on. Thank you Drew
I don't go into the deco app in terms of setup just show what the app looks like. I do however have a deco XE75 setup guide video where I show all the connections. The deco app handles most situations automatically
Wired Backhaul - Save money (whatever recent WiFi 6, or 6E Deco that's on sale) eero 6+ is good too Wireless Backhaul - Deco XE70 Pro (ASUS GT6 is good too) or if you want to splurge (Deco BE63)
Hi, have a few powerline adapters already but want to upgrade not sure if x55 or px50. Existing tp-link powerline would work with powerline mesh? Thanks
Well it performed better for certain scenarios, there could be a number of factors but generally speaking that's why I do the testing. BE95 was the king of wireless backhaul and range
Hi. very easy to understand tutorials. keep them up ;) I am facing a dilema how to improve the speed and handle multiple devices. Home layout is as it follows: Router from Provider that is connected to fiber. From Router RJ45 to M5 mesh ( 1st is living room and by far deals with most traffic) The second and 3rd M5 are upstairs in different corners. in parallel from M5 1st i use Rj45 to a 5 ports 1GB switch where the main TV + printer and other devices are connected by wire ( RJ45) The wired / RJ45 system works pretty good but the wireless is getting crowded and hammered. I have at times up to 25 - 30 devices connected to the 1st M5 mesh ( ipads, phones, kids friends phones, TV's in other rooms, entrance door device and a lot of others devices). To the question i have; How do I uppgrade the living room Wireless receiver to manage all that traffic. I can buy a single Deco device which is new and have better performance and connect the old ones to ( due to WiFi backwards compatibility). Which one of the Deco product with you recommend for my issues ? or I can buy an Archer router ( Archer AX23 V1) and let the Deco system to be extended wifi devices to it. ( Provider router is not something i can eliminate )
My personal opinion is that I would stick with a Deco. Frankly speaking the more you spend, the better off you will be. But for about 30 devices, I think the XE75 or XE70 Pro should suffice. If the Deco BE63 goes on sale, I would go with that. That thing is a beast for the price.
@@landpetman you weren’t lying, i got almost 900 mbps up and down on my iphone 15 pro max, I assume Wifi 7 with the iphone 16 that’s right around the corner will be even faster.
All taxes are used instead for importing and supporting illegal Muslims and Africans taking over the UK while arresting any dissenting native citizens. I am truly sorry but wifi should not your country's focus. Focus on getting taking back your country.
Were do I start. I old school with old system which need upgrade. Used old modem like actiontec m1424wr Rev 1. Have verizon 50/50 got new pc . Grandkids are beating me .
It did in certain categories but quad band isn't necessarily better, if the devices can't take full use out of it unless each frequency supports faster speeds like the BE85 and BE95. There are surprises every now and then
@@landpet personally I can't say though that switching to the be 16000 we saw an instant improvement in our internet and Wi-Fi. Moving into a 2600 square foot home it's been flawless. So I wonder how they would differ as well in a mesh setting what two stories Holmes. Good job on the review
Hey brother, could you run a test on these units to see how much traffic they can handle? I’ve used the TP-Link BE85 and BE95, and with around 70 connected devices and adding about 10-15 guests actively using their phones ( total of 80-85 or more ) , the network crashes. Interestingly, an older eero Wi-Fi 6 Pro or Netgear routers don’t have this issue. TP-Link’s engineers are aware of the problem but haven’t found a solution yet. When the network starts failing, no one can connect properly. I’d really appreciate it if you could test this out. By the way, great videos-everyone, don’t forget to smash the 👍 button!
I personally haven't had any issues with this, I have around 80 or so devices and when people come over, granted it's just a few more devices at those times but the internet is fine. If that has been your experience, definitely go with another brand.
