thanks for sa review neto sir.. on the way na ung order kong EAP225 for benta wifi sa area nmin via voucher user omada.. gusto ko na dn matesting ung range ng speed neto if ever madaming bahay or walls na naka harang.. target ko dn sya lagay sa almost 15FT up sa may poste sa bahay nmin.. more power at sana maka review ka pa ng madaming AP items ni TPLink.. or mga test lalo kung nasa loob ka ng bahay or area dn na mdaming harang or interference..
Hi, thanks thanks po. for loob ng bahay hindi sya talaga ideal, line of sight talaga need for outdoor AP, kaya you might be disappointed pag tinest mo sa loob ng bahay po..
Nicely done review, I'm going to dispute the results. Under normal situations 5 Ghz is going get considerable better throughput than 2.4 Ghz close to the transmitter, however the drastic difference close to the unit holds up red flags. The 2.4 Ghz just didn't compare 5 Ghz reasonably with expectations. I'd use signal analyzing software to check channel loading, bled over channels and interference and also make sure your phone did not switch to cell data service is turned off for the test. IMHO On further review I ran across this tech sheet information and have to admit it changes my opinion "...provides stable wireless coverage up to 200m plus range at 2.4GHz and 300m plus at 5GHz in outdoor settings." We live in a changing world in more than one way, of coarse remembering these are open field conditions. So, now I have to give this a A+ review rating. By revealing truly unexpected results. Again a good review with what most of us wanted to see.
Hi Sue, thanks for the feedback, yes the difference of 2.4ghz and 5ghz just infront of the eap225 does not do justice, i forgot to show the wifi analyzer, but i have mentioned it on the eap110 review that on the actual test, there are farther locations that gives me better speed compared shorter distance, have mentioned that the reason is there is a lot of wifi interference from my neighbors wifi.. But still my bad on this video that did not to include it.. I really appreciate this kind of feedback will keep on improving doing this kind of test.. Thanks..
Nice revue thanks. I find the 5ghz works better generally as there is way less interference on that frequency spectrum in built up areas. On farms I find that 2.4ghz works good too but somehow 5ghz is almost always better to a point.
good video, explains very well , I have one of these. I've made some changes and I can pick up the signal 134 meters from home, if you leave the house and move away are 300 meters, the signal is weak but can detect. had the 110 but I changed it for 225 because it has 5 ghz, forgot to mention that you can manage by the app on mobile.
Should I get TP-Link EAP225-Outdoor, TP-Link EAP225-Wall V2, or TP-Link EAP225 V3 ? and what're the differences between them? My case is simple, need a range of 30 meters with covering a full speed of download/upload of 100mbps. So, which unit should I get for this case?
Hi Hisham, as for these devices they are actually very different, the wall v2 or v3 is intended for indoor usage, i have not tested them yet so i really cant comment, if your intention is to use the eap225-outdoor for indoor use, it is a big no, it does not handle wall penetration so well. if your range is 30 meters outdoor or line of sight, the eap225 outdoor will be great..
Hi, yes hot temperatures affects devices, but this is an outdoor access point that has a good enclosure so you don't need to worry about the sun, and another is, it only accommodates wireless devices while the main router is the one processing traffic, so the router is usually the hotter one.
Hi unfortunately I was not able to test the maximum number of concurrent clients, but with my own experience, i was able to connect 12 devices without any issue or drop connection..
For a house (indoor), this is not ideal it may give a great range outdoor but not indoor, it does not penetrate walls so well. for indoor, there are indoors AP, or archer c80 might do even though i have not tested that one yet. If you really like tplink i would suggest the ax23 that they offer.
@@tanvirahmed2569 from the Philippines.. for the max number of guest, there are no indication on tplinks official site, but have tried around 7 devices at the same time no issues encountered, but wifi vending machines here, mentions that they can actually have around 20 to 30 guest at any given time without issues
Good eve po.
Hello JK, I just bought this and it works outdoors. Can we connect another TP link to get it inside another house? Can you recommend if we should buy an extender or another access point. Thanks!
Hi Karen, this eap225 works best outside or within line of sight.. not very ideal for indoor use, but for indoor there are a lot of options like asus wifi router which can be set as an AP or router mode.. :) if you are looking for one, check the tplink ax23 or the ASUS ax53u..
Hi! why when I try to connect via the poe switch it doesn't work, I also have oc200 Omada hardware controller but still he doesn't reconise it, any advice?
have you tried to check the poe switch if is compatible with the power delivery to eap225? for the omada oc200 i have not tested one, so i cant really help with that one..
Hi Laiden, negative, it does not work great indoors, if you have tried to check my other wifi router review, usually aabot sa 3rd floor coming from second floor, but unfortunately from second to third d sya umaabot, intended for open area talaga sya.. :)
Pero should be the same performance since AP mode naman po.. Thanks thanks sir..
Na try NYU Po ba sa left or right side may signal parin ??
@@JKChavez Salamat Sir. Another question sir.
Hi Lucy, i have not tested the eap610 yet, but i believe the mesh should work between those two models because both are under omada series.. for the improvement of speed, it will be the same, one of the reasons that you put multiple AP is to have a wider coverage... and maybe we can still say improve speed in a certain area, because for example if you are far from an access point, the speed degrades significantly, so the best option is to put another access point on that location and have better speed compare on connecting to the other one..
@@JKChavez can this eap225 po limit internet speed sa bawat naka connect na devices? and plano ko po sana idaan sa ilalim ng lupa ang lancable with pvc papunta sa central building, sana matulungan niu pa po ako 🥺🙏
@@clarkesyt okay naman naka pvc sa ilalim sir, pero ung individual device bandwidth limiting wala po sya, more of sa router side ka need mag configure po..
@@clarkesyt Unfortunately po, hindi onemesh si eap225, kaya d sya mag work sa onemesh devices ni tplink, mag work mesh system ni eap 225 with other omada mesh capable devices po..
Hi, unfortunately wala po syang p2p option, pede siguro is use a repeater sa client, same concept ng p2p since eap225 will be the sender while wifi repeater will be the client, then connect ung mga devices dun sa repeater..
Hi Joseph, umiinit sya like regular router lalo na pag maraming connected, pero na test ko sya personally outside ng house for 3 days naka 24x7 with 2 to 3 devices from time to time wala naman issue akong na encounter or drop connection.
HI sir, for this eap225, i dont recommend it as an indoor, hindi sya malakas sa wall penetration. for additional router or Access point, i would suggest something like tenda ac23 global version for the most affordable one, if medyo may budget the dlink eagle pro r15 or medyo kaya pa i push ang budget asus ax53u.. yan sa tingin ko makakatulong, pero kung habol mo po is from inside sa house ung router or access point, hindi po possible maabot sa labas ung 100+ meters range.. for evey wall barrier kasi bumababa signal range, then depende pa sa wall , kung concrete of wood.. :)
Sana may makapansin. Thanks
Hi, marami pong option sa gusto mo para isang internet plan lang binabayaran.. the cheapest and best solution would be lan cable from house 1 to house two, kung kaya kahit patong lang sa bubong papuntang kabilang bahay.. second option would be wireless bridge mas mahal pero okay pa din lalo na pag more than 100 meters yung layo ng bahay.. may video po ako nun ruijie wireless bridge, nangyayari is may sender sa house 1, then ung other device is receiver sa kabilang bahay, then lan cable papuntang router para may internet na din sa kabilang bahay.. another option is mas mura kaysa sa option 2, pero more than half ang lost mo sa actual internet speed.. main house pwedeng maglagay ng access poing like tplink eap225 or 110, then sa other house repeater can be xiaomi, tenda or any repeater, kaya lang sa labas ng house sya naka kabit like balcony or terrace and dapat line of sight from the eap225\110.. easiest would be option 1.. :)
Thanks po dito. Yung option two sana kaya lang parang madami pa ding configuration na ggwin and sa labas din nakakabit? Anyway panonoorin ko paano pag install and config. Ty and more videos to come
@@jayrestrella3678 yes po need sya magkatapat talaga, kaya usually po pag mga cpe matataas po ung setup nila naka lakalagay sa bubong or minsan may pole pa sila para tumaas pa, para walang barrier sa gitna, kung talagang walang line of sight, lan cable po option upto 100 meters, if more than 100 meters naman fiber optic po..
It will work indoor, but the penetration in between walls and floors is not that good, i would suggest a wifi router like the tplink ax23 or asus ax53u would be great.
Hello, I think it have better technology, I had the 110 and I sell it to buy the 225, I let a tutorial in a previous comment how to upgrade and have more range.... In my opinion , buy the 225, it have the same range then the 110 but it's more stable and fast you can have 250 users at the same time and 8 said in 2.4 and more 8 in 5 ghzs ....16 ssids
The main difference is that the 110 have two antennas of 2.4 and the 225 have two antennas of 2.4 and 5 ghzs with 3 and 4 dbis. In my case my modified my 225 and have more range , I can get a signal more than 350 mtrs.
Di ko alam which is the antenna ng eap225.
The two antennas have the same range the 110 have 2 antennas of 2.4 and the 225 hae one of 2.4 and 5 ghzs. Just have to test....put one and if you can get 5g that's the one than remove and try another one....one a a time
yes sir, if old unit ng eap225 like mine, wala syang repeater capability before, with the new firmware update and\or new eap225 models, pwede na po dapat.. may video po ako nung inupdate ko ung firmware to be repeater..
You made this sound pretty easy set up but would the ethernet cable go into my tp link m5 which is set as Access Point. Good video though and definitely contemplating buying this unit for us outside when we get summer time.
i have not tested the m5 yet, but i believe the lan port on that m5 should be useable even though that m5 is configured as an access point, just connect a lan cable from that m5 going to the poe adapter then to the eap225, it is really easy.. :)
Hi sir, unfortunately hindi maganda performance nya indoor with walls and floors, have not tested the eap225 indoor model din.. kaya cant suggest for that one.. if indoor sir maraming option that can penetrate walls..
@@sumixcvi6770 For wall penetrating wifi routers there are a lot of options, depends on your budget, budget wifi ac23, if you have enough budget go wth the tplink ax23, or f you have money to spare, the asus ax53u.. :)
Hi initially you should be able to see the default ssid from 225, does this happens after the configuration? ( i heard some users are encountering issues that after a few days the personalized ssid goes back to default ssid and the config is gone).
Hi sir Glen, unfortunately d ko nasubukan ung max out and d ko kaya max user ma test, since it would more than 20 units na kayang i handle nun eap225. For my own test nagawa ko lang 7 clients connected and no issues encountered.. for access points po usually kaya nyan more than 50 on a single access point, pero it would not be stable, kaya rule of thumb is 20 to 30 users, kahit in my old company using cisco access points around 20 to 30 din po..

Hi sir, im not sure if may issue ung unit mo, but for 2.4ghz there can be a lot of things kasi, kaya nowadays hindi talga advisable ang 2.4ghz, gamit na gamit lang sya if worst come to worst na need ng range. for 2.4ghz maliit lang kasi ung available na channel width, kaya pedeng overlap and interfere with other wifi network, and aside sa neighbors wifi network ung mga appliances din nakaka affect like cordless phone, microwave oven and other electronics na gumagamit ng 2.4ghz frequency. try to check using wifi analyzer kung maraming 2.4ghz network. pag kunti lang ung overlap pedeng ung unit may issue. pede mo check ung eap110 review ko po, at certain point mas mabagal ung speed test ko on around 50 meters compare sa 70 or 80 meters and up ata un. around 50 meters range ko kasi na test is sobrang daming wifi network kaya affected speed.. :) sana nakatulong.. :)

I have the 225 with a few changes , and outside my house I have 180 download and 10 upload ...internet service of 200 MPs . I use the app network cell info lite , it's better then the app wifi analiser because it provides a widget to your cell phone and more info. I have a signal more then 300 Meters from the 225.
2. So ayun 5Ghz na lng gamit nya. Sayang padin.
