This my first look at the TP Link smart home offering. THE Tapo TC70 an indoor only Pan, Tilt and Zoom security camera and the P110 Smart plug with energy monitor.

Can you use the TC70 wireless? Without the camera being plugged in?

no this is a mains powered camera only.

How is the delay on the PTZ functionality? I found the Kasa alternative to this to be very unresponsive.

Prelude: I like your review except it's basic, doesn't go into the details comprehensively enough, I was expecting more like OSV do when they review vehicles. You don't have to reply if you feel that my aforesaid comment sounds insulting. I am Neurodivergent and say it as it is, I do not want to offend yet many like schools, colleges and universities are still getting it wrong. We will continue to be bullied because the educator's are not from our community. Main: Cannot find the 'Zoom' feature on my TC70. Gone through all the settings. It is a very good solution watching for a parking space outside my property and to monitor anyone thinking they have gotten away with bumping into my car and driving off! I have the most expensive front and rear Nextbase dashcam's but they don't do night vision or pick up anything in the dark. Forget catching imagery in a darkly lit multi-storey car park. I have had it in my bedroom window on the sill, using clothes pegs to pinch the horizontal blinds and giving a wide-enough view for the filming to commence. Not interested in mounting it because it won't fit. I have this TC70 set on the Daytime setting because 'Nightvision' reflects the window pane. I live in low-rise apartments so the view is not obscured by garden embellishments. My landlord has the place covered in CCTV but will not release the footage of an incident upon request; What a Rectum! Epilogue: The police are of no use or ornament but they'll park in my disabled bay! They lost the respect of my family and I decades ago. I have often challenged their nefarious actions in court and won. They're the real bandits!

Moving the camera manually is slow but the motion detection movement moves far quicker

You didn't test the speaker, what is someone in speaking through the app how could it be?

does it ping and re-engage with the wifi either automatically or using the app if there is a power outage (thunderstorm etc.)? many do not...

Thanks for the video I wanted to ask, how are you finding the video and live streaming quality? When I watch the live stream the video is really quite bad, it's really fuzzy I watch it on the IPSpy/Agent DVR desktop software and it's definitely using the 1920x1080p stream, but it's like I'm watching through a window screen.

@@yoochoooob Yea, it seems that way, I also notice the colour saturation or quality is really poor vs my much older 720p Wansview K2 camera. And the frame rate being maxed at 15 FPS seems pretty poor. I hate the fact you can't simply download clips to your phones storage, you have to go through that weird process of "recording" the section of clip you want, then saving it. Another negative is there's no web interface. No doubt it's to push you into upgrading to their pay for cloud service.

Hi I just bought the camera tc70 and set it up but is it ok to leave it plugged in for a full week while I'm away on holiday as I've noticed that the plug and camera get a touch hot ??? Thanks 👍

@@scottpinhorne cool, is there a safety plug or something that I can buy that I can plug the camera into and then in the wall if that makes sense, I'm just really worried about leaving it plugged in for 10 days, thanks mate, subscribed as well 😁🎉🤞🏻

@@funkoninja1422 you can pick up a smart plug to control the power sway from home and shut it down and start it up whenever you like then.
