EXCELLENT review. this is how it always should be. thank you, mate. i was struggling about buying this cam, but it seeems like it's totaly ok for my purpose
I bought one c320ws model to test it out for monitoring private house, and the surrounding property. I also bought different brands at the same price bracket, (for features comparison). I use 32GB cards, good enough for me. Long story short, The c320ws is a really good value for money. No camera will be perfect for everyone but this one covers all the bases and works really well as compared to other competitors in the same price range. Did not test cloud service, did not need it. After the test I bought three more cameras to satisfy my needs.
This should be standard on every camera meant for outdoor use. It is so inexpensive to solve the wind noise issues. I try to shy away from companies that, obviously, do not use what they manufacture/produce.
Really love your channel and I use the video as a baseline. I own many Wyze cams and when I saw this video, the 320 Tapo might be 5-10% better. I am not sure if it due to your video being compressed under RU-vid. But I wanted to point out the 320 under my setup made my Wyze v3 looks like trash 😢. The depth, range, color is much better. 2) Not to mention the AI. I setted camera over garage to look at my car, had a break in.. Wyze with zone detection and subscription... didn't see me at all sneaking up and touching my doors 😮. The new 325 with 1/1.79" sensor (2.7x larger) is otw. I think you should do a video and compare all 3 again. 3) I didn't get the artifact issue... Yet. I do get it a lot with Wyze.. Ty
@@Lord_Kryze Gracias.
Fun/Sad fact is: when camera loose signal, or intruder cut it out, it will send NO notification that the camera is out of order. Do you like this on security camera? Me not... Ask me how i found it. And TP-Link support replay is: when the camera is offline it cant send any message. Cool, but app can send message that it lost connection, right?
I know a few cameras can do this like the Blink and Nest but it is not immediate…it can take a few minutes or sometimes hours before you get an offline notification.
I have a ring camera, I feel it’s pointless for the most part as it only records when motion is detected and only seems to start recording 3-5 seconds after being triggered, if someone clipped my car on the drive it would only see they leaving. If the WiFi drops out which some times happens it’ll not record anything. WiFi goes down house has no cctv at all. Love the video keep it up
Great work with your reviews! We purchased a few of these Tapo C320 cameras based on your outdoor cam reviews. Our other choice was the Eufy 2K Pro which seemed to have better audio quality and rich notifications (without subscription) but it would only record 24/7 in 1080p and not 2K. What was your preferred camera?
@@Michael-fl9lh well, you have the option of not subscribing, Just make sure to have a very good 256gb card in the cam In my case, I've set up 10 cameras at 2 diifferent households so the person detection is a must for me
Cool review thanks for sharing, i do have the tapo trial subscription turned on for 3 of my tapo C100 wifi cams on 2 different countries, my home country Singapore & in my wife’s home in Batam, indonesia. One thing i noticed is that the audio quality of these cams is not that good. Well i can’t say anything bad about these cams especially they are cheap at around $30 Sing dollars per cam hahaha, other than that they all work awesome😊oh btw i just bought 4 tapo smartplugs & added them to my tapo app, all works fine especially they don’t burn a hole in my pocket lol
Hello life Hackster , I would love for you to do a full review on Alexa greetings on the ring pro 2 . Keep up the great videos. Merry Christmas and a happy new year.
Any idea if Tapo will ever add this feature. I have enough ambient light that the C320WS never goes into night mode when set to auto. The problem is the spotlight will never turn on if it's not in night mode, and I want the spotlight to turn on as a deterrent. My only choice is to put it into night mode all the time, even during the day, but thats just a workaround and has its downsides (black and white, and insects at night). Need a setting for spotlight to be activated by any motion from Sunset to Sunrise. Maybe you can pass this along to TP Link with all your pull :)
Hi ...Thanks for the Camera review... Just wanted to ask one thing.... If I want to use the camera on POE, in case I am already using with the Wi-Fi, then Can I switch the method of internet connection from POE to Wi-Fi & vice versa as per my wish ? In case, the ethernet cable breaks, will it be connecting to the Wi-Fi network all by itself (considering that it already had connected to the same Wi-Fi internet in the past) ?
I am in need of a wireless outdoor cctv camera for my business. However also have no access to wifi neither. What would you recommend? Thanks in advance if you manage to respond! :)
Hello. I can't decide between this Tapo C320ws or the Eufy 2C Pro. I know they one is wired and the other isn't, besides another differences... After watching your videos with both these cameras I think they have pretty good quality. I would like to know your opinion about the image quality (day and night footage) for both, please. Thanks 🙏👍
hmm, there is a 'clip and download' alternative to 'recording' from playback in the app in their cheaper cameras indicated by scissors on the playback screen, perhaps it's an app update available to this model too?
Hi lifehacster I'm a new home owner what would you recommend for me in terms of home security if I can afford either wired or battery and what brand do you recommend
@@LifeHackster thanks for the recommendation, will go with reolink. As a new home owner your videos have been a massively helpful. You're doing an awesome job
How much do the wing antennas help with connection. I have a room in my house that has so-so wifi signal and am wondering if this outdoor camera might work well in there.
Wich camera is better Reolink RLC-520A or Tapo C320WS i am doubting between these two and cant find a reason wich one should be better some help would be great
I am literally confused between Wyze Cam V3 & Tp link Tapo C320WS as they cost me same on sale but I don't want to pay for cloud subscription service. Which one or any other canera you recommend ?
I don’t get why they started a new line tapo? Now with kasa i feel like they will discontinue soon. Bastards even made them completely different apps and are not compatible. Such a low move.
I want to install this camera at the entrance of my apartment house. There would be a sliding grill in between my wooden door and the corridor (there would be grills between the camera and the surveillance area). Is this camera suitable?
You have a pick, one that uses an SD card that just seems like a decent buy? That ghosting, artifacting is a deal breaker here. Any different in quality over wire? I never trust wifi in these things, seems it's where they take short cuts.
Although the quality is not 4K it brings some peace of mind, better than nothing I guess. Sadly no POE and NVR support is a dealbreaker for me. I'll keep searching.
How much time of recording it stores withba 64gb card? Can you delete the data from the card from the app or do you have to remove the card manually from the camera and do it via pc?
The recording will vary depending on your use but it will take at least 3-4 weeks just with motion event recordings. The recording will be looped over meaning it will record over old footage when it runs out of storage. You don't have to delete it manually. As to deletion of recordings, there is a format option in the app.
