I'm surprised Bob didn't have her turn around, shuffle the shells around again and told the audience not to help her.

I loved watching this in the 70s when I was just a kid.

That's like with the game Pocket Change. Everyone always used to take the card out of the envelope too early, so now they just have them call off a number and Drew picks up the envelope.

Regardless of whether she cheated or not, she was going to win the game anyway. She got 3 chips. If she had not peaked and kept the order in which she placed the chips, the first would have gone next to the first shell (closest to her), the second would have gone to the third shell, and the third would have been placed next to the 2nd shell, where the ball actually was.

What a Master.

I remembered seeing this on game show goes bananas! I can’t believe she got away with it with her prize. Cathy, you’re not supposed to pick up the shell and look under it! Hopefully it won’t happen again in later episodes or on the drew carey era.

I thought for sure he would just shuffle them around again.

Bob was the greatest host, with a wonderful way of interacting with the contestants. I gave Drew Carey a chance for one week, then stopped watching. Drew had ZERO connection with the contestants.

I just wanted to apologize for calling this woman a horrible word on this comment because when people go on game shows like The Price is Right and games like this need to play responsibly and using that word I said a few moments ago was bad and I know I have no excuse for feelings hurt for doing this so I apologize for using a word so horrible and move on so sorry and I just want you to understand some of you don’t forgive me.

Wow I'm totally amazed. I'm amazed and dumbfounded they let her win. That stupid woman not only did not know how to play the game but she didn't even ask how to play. I can't believe she got away with it. She may have cheated by mistake but she still cheated. I didn't find anything funny about this at all. What's even less funnier is how worked up I'm getting over this when it happened decades ago. I think I need a drink or a hamburger now.
