Yeah, I know. I just loved the ep. when Drew gave Mimi some paperwork for her to shred, & when she dropped them in the shredder, he told her that the papers were her vacation vouchers. Man, I was busting a gut over that 1 for days!!!!
The April Fools episodes such as this one and Craig Ferguson taking over as host are the most creative ones under Carey as the host of the Price is Right.
A Snuggie, a Chia Pet, a Club, and a Clapper - If I didn't know this was the April Fool's show, I would swear The Price Is Right went shopping at Big Lots/Odd Lots for their "prizes."
Now how did they get the right Pat's to play??? Got to love April Fool's Day TPIR shows in the Drew Carey era. Bob Barker's comeback of sorts best one yet.

+MaxxFordham In every episode of the show (not just this one), whenever they call a contestant to "come on down", they hold up cards with the contestant's name on it. They started this because the audience would get so loud that contestants couldn't hear their names being called. So they probably did the same and held up the actual person's name on the card and just called down "Pat".
Yep, and I think when they started doing this, they though...ummm name everyone Pat, and THIS YEAR name everyone DREW!!!! Hello Halloween Episode 2015???

Having seen every episode of TDCS, I'm positive none of these people besides Kathy were from there. The new announcer, Brad, was on Drew's other show, Whose Line is it Anyway, however ^.^ (and honestly even though I was a fan of that show too, he wasn't exactly the best improve actor; he just has a really sweet announcer voice)
Im watching the full episode right now, and Mimi just told Drew that she remembered that he had a hard time remembering names, so she made everyone’s names Pat.
TPIR's April Fools Show 2010 was entertaining. I don't know where Manuela was though and personally I liked the idea Mimi was speaking unlike last year.

i just noticed that drew is trying hard to hold it together when he sees mimi at the desk and you know that he and kathy become close from the drew carey show due to their at times perfect timing together. NOT every nemenis-hero works out that well
No, what they did when they called the contestants up was hold up the actual name of the contestant so they knew which 'Pat' was actually being called.

When I saw this episode, I said "Why is every contestant named Pat? I like the show when it's in its normal routines." After I said that I just turned off the TV.
LOL, funny that Mimi from one of Drew's old shows is here! Does anyone know if these were all real Pats that were recruited for that year, or if the audience members just pretended to be Pats? What are their real names? What have they done for other April Fools' Days?
...Day. Well, we could have that as a good guess (combined with showing the person's real name on a big card nowadays, which they didn't do back in Bob's day while I was there... on his last day), but we wouldn't know *100%* for *SURE*. It is conceivably possible that the could've found that many real Pats.
