Unboxing and complete review of TPlink XPON router with model number XC220 G3v. This router supports GPON and EPON standards of Optical Network. It can replaced with ISP routers of BSNL, RailTel, TIC, GTPL, AP Fiber etc
@chinthanaiselvan - Thanks for this Video. It helped me in setting it up correctly. BSNL said they couldnt do it and i have get this changed but got ur video and bought the coupler n patch cord which fixed the issue
Bought in Flipkart. Xpon works in EPon and Gpon standards which is the one I reviewed. Gpon model only works in GPon standard. Go for XPon which is latest.
it all depends on ur provider it can either be GPON or EPON both these will work in this router. Xpon is a collective term for Gpon or Epon@@nikhilkalbag1
0Which is better, xc220 or xx230 for Airtel, about 15 device with 300 mbs plan, Because it has only 2 antenna i was thinking to go with xx230 since 4 antenna can handle about 15 device, Quick question what issue will i face from Airtel
@@salcykhan Not sure if this router is approved for use as they (Airtel)provide their own. Even if you connect manually you need to get config settings from Airtel which i doubt they will share
It's not recommended because there will be power loss and PON network won't be detected. This is because connector tip is vertical for blue and angled for green so they won't align correctly
I bought this router for my bsnl ftth connection. This router version V2.30 is not supporting VOIP configuration for bsnl. Did you face any problem with VOIP configuration.
I got it aftermarket for Railwire. at Rs. 2900. It works like a charm. My LCO keep on insisting not to use 3rd party hardware, saying it will not support blah blah blah.. As his intention is to sell his cheap Chinese made ONU/ONT. Followed exactly the same what you did. My next move will be replacing the apc/upc connector. Earlier I was worried about compatibility. Now everything is clear So I’m going to replace SC/UPC connector with SC/APC coming from ISP using Fiber fusion/splicer. Thanks man, for the initiative idea🎉
@@chinthanaiselvan yes, even it lacks advanced diagnostic & logging features for troubleshooting an issue. Longing it for more than a year and it happened Thanks man. 😀
Does ACT deliver FTTH? I thought they do only FTTP - meaning they only give fiber to the building or apartment and from there they reach home by copper connection via rj45
I see, you could give it a shot if the router provided by ACT users same green connector. It definitely supports GPON - i don't see a problem. Before trying check how they're configured, like PPPOE or any other methods by most ISPs. Didn't want to suggest if ACT runs proprietary firmware in their router and has user account hard bound to device. Do your research before spending 5k. Good luck
@@chinthanaiselvan they are giving nokia router but pppoe login is locked with nokia router .That nokia router is the problem ,high wan gateway and bufferbloat
@@chinthanaiselvan thanks for answering, yes I have physically the device, however I can not reset to default factory due to my ISP set up the GPON credentials, I just want to change my SSID name an password they leave a weakess one, just 8 characters all numbers, anyone with the handshake will crack it in minutes.
@@victorgarmin2311 you can visit router login page and change SSID and Password from there. Ask your ISP for these creds. They must provide to you unless this router is leased and be returned back to them upon service discontinuation
