Front is 36 and rear is 40

I have had these for awhile now. The lock nuts keep the sensors from loosening up (in addition to providing security). The system is really convenient, especially for the rear tire behind hard bags. Unlike many original equipment tire pressure monitors, which do not work unless the vehicle is moving, the Fobo units read the pressure whether the bike is parked or moving. You can monitor tire pressures on a smartphone, and the Bluetooth range is good enough to be able to check tire pressure from inside the house. You have to get used to the pressure increases due to the increase in tire temperature. I would set the max pressure at 10 psi above the desired psi, and the min at 5 psi below. I did not have a problem at all with tire balance issues, although I did not use the T-type valve stem. I highly recommend these for bikes that do not come with TPMS. As usual, follow the instructions that come with it.

I was researching these for a hot min before I switched bikes to the Chieftain DH. I like that the bike doesn’t have to be on. For my Chieftain I have to turn bike on and give it a min. I can view my last TP reading via Indian app but it is only updated when bike is on. So I would say the FOBO system would be a better in those aspects.

I just purchased these about 2 months ago and I like the convenience of them. I have a 2000 Road King so my bike is behind on all of the new features. I assumed that the newer bikes like you have, all had TPMS...Godspeed

I wish I could put a picture on here but I run a 2014 dresser CVO rear tire is 40 pounds front tires 36. So I install these things in there to pounds light on both tires. Down in the left-hand corner in real small I don’t know what does it means but it’s pretty much right what the hell does that mean I can’t find it anywhere. I took a screenshot I can’t give it to you though thanks

I had an Indian roadmaster and the TPMS went out on the rear tire. After a while I just ignored the light and went back to my monthly air check on the tires. The best thing Indian did was install 90 degree valve stems so checking the tires was super easy.

Try the Sykik TPMS. Works good, confusing as heck to set up and you don't need a phone.
@VadimNYC
@VadimNYC Год назад
A Better TPMS system is one which comes with its own monitor screen so you don't have to use your phone. My phone is always in my pocket, if I am ever separated from my bike I want the phone with me, not on the bike in the ditch. So having a dedicated monitor attached to the handle bars is better which shows you your tire pressure all the time, weather you have your phone or not.

The FOBO set that I have specifically mentions that it is not for rubber stems. I wonder if they have always included this statement or added it after a few folks had issues...

@DiG & The Hound You are correct Sir, I think I came to that conclusion because they include metal stems in the kit and from customer reviews on Amazon.

Installed on my "16 RGU. Also added a "T" style metal valve stem. Metal is definitely recommended. "T" style allows airing up or down without removing sensors. So far, seems to work great. Did cause tires to become unbalanced though.

Milwaukee 8 touring bikes don't have TPMS? I am kind of surprised. I'd think it's standard on any touring bike made in the last 5 years. That said, I don't think I could use it on my bike. The front valve comes out sideways. Not an angle, but actually facing to the right. I wouldn't think there's enough clearance with the fender/fork.

How much of a pain yo remove if you have to add air? (With the lock nuts and tool) you should have showed that.
@Wabbit1961
@Wabbit1961 3 года назад
It's not that it's much of a pain but it's a pain to have to carry a tool with you constantly and you'll probably forget it right when you need it. You want to see the install of the lock nut just watch everyone else's video. I don't use them. They're not looking to steal your cheap TPS. If they're looking they're looking to steal your bike!

@MrKeneal0330

The locking nut helps prevent theft AND to keep them from backing off. If they start backing off you'll start losing air fast.

When in your life have you EVER had a valve stem cap loosen? Please.
@MrKeneal0330
@MrKeneal0330 3 года назад
@@Wabbit1961 I've lost many valve caps in the nearly 30yrs I've been driving. That's cars, trucks, 4wheelers, motorcycles, go carts, etc. Because these depress the valve stem if they start to back off they can let the air out.

@Mongo11b

Can you put air in the tires with them on or do you gotta pull them off first?
@riduck
@riduck 4 года назад
For that price I'd like a built in compressor 😂
@Wabbit1961
@Wabbit1961 3 года назад
You pull them off like a regular valve cap. The battery is in the way so it's not a pass through design. You want that, then spend big money on internally mounted TPS sensors like Beemers have. You can do this but those are not Bluetooth units and require wiring. That's why he, and I, don't mount the lock nut. Your have to carry that tool with you all the time too loosen the lock nut in case of a flat or if you're in a road trip topping up your tires at a gas station. PITA.
