Imagem Fernando e Gabriela Pereira. 18 de Fevereiro 2017
Working cattle is fun in any country. In any language. Thank you for sharing your operation. We ran Brahman in SW Louisiana. You video is great. Your farm is beautiful.
Thank you very much. The farm is not mine, I just record the videos on the different farms as I am invited to do so. A hug and thank you for liking our work.
Sejam felizes.
I've just found your channel, it reminds me of being a wee girl helping my dad with the cattle, never thought about the danger when you're brought up with it . Very good to watch thanks.
Goodnight. Thanks so much for liking our videos. We are pleased to bring you good memories. Yes, these cattle are dangerous, you need to be very careful. Although weakened, that calf did a little damage to the boy. He was trying to get him to go to the upper pasture, in order to be treated and to be separated from the others. He slipped and that's what happened. The calf was still small, even though everything went well, even his colleagues started to laugh, ahah. Thank you very much, all the best for all your family. Stay safe. Hugs from Fernando & Gabriela.
Gostei do curativo!! hehehe!!

Thank you so much for your comment. That cowboy didn't have much luck, ahah. He was trying to take the weaker calf to the pastures above to be treated, and then he slipped and that's what we saw, ahah. Thank you very much. A huge hug from Terceira Island, Azores.
E vocês fazem tudo a pé. Pega o boi pelo chifre! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Please please can you provide English-speaking subtitles as I truly adore watching your bulls on the ranch but it's somewhat spoiled by not knowing what's being said, especially during those few times the vet had to treat a bull in the pasture! So interesting and yet I miss it all because I've no understanding of what anyone is saying. That said, I'll continue watching as it's all fascinating to me but I still ask you to consider my request as this would render my viewing perfect! You do a wonderful job and all stock look very well healthy, I must say. To the anti's I say this: if I were a bull on your farm I would 100% prefer the life you offered, which seems longer and so much more enjoyable than my abattoir-slaughtered cousins. Whilst alive, I am free to roam in a beautiful place before giving a show of my bravery and strength. My 'cousins' may or may not be grazed - either way its in a field with fences which when grazed will see me moved to another. Usually, in autumn, I'm put into a building where I stay until good weather in the spring. My lifespan is usually around 18months - 2years, depending which breed I am and how I'm fed. None of that 'home' feeling. I believe you get to be out all the time bar occasional trips to farm for necessary preventative medicines? And also live till 4yrs? I may be wrong but am sure I'm not THAT far out. At the end, as I've said, I fight. I am proud and this is what I was bred for. On occasion, we are so very brave and fight so well that we don't fight 'to the death'. If this happens we are spared and live like kings! If we live 20years, nothing changes. We live out our natural lives on the ranch.....our home and, It's hoped (I believe!) are given the chance to sire some top-quality fighting bulls!! So, you see, this is why I'd far sooner be la toro de lidia (apologies if I've misspelt any words or given innacurate information. This is basically what I tell fools who keep shouting and going on about how 'cruel' operations such as yours are.) As a bull, I reiterate that I'd sooner BY FAR spend my life on your ranch than ever I would wish for the life as a solely raised-for-meat bull. Even the breeding bulls don't have that long a life. Could be that when they turn 3yrs old, they can become very aggressive and thus, dangerous. Used to be the dairy bulls mainly but nowadays the beef breeds, especially continental breeds, can get very nasty too. Plus the continentals are big animals. Can and have done a lot of harm. Anyway, I think you do a grand job and am very impressed. Don't change. I do hope you manage to show The Ignorant the differences, some of which I've pointed out. Once apprised of this information, plus any more like it, I defy any normal person to choose which they truly believe is the better way! I mean who, if they're being 100% truthful, could really, EVER choose the abattoir method?? I've seen it and know why I feel the way I do. I was a Meat Inspector for around 12 years. We need them, certainly. For as long as we eat meat. They do a good job, too. However, the 'happier' meat will come from the less handled bulls who, by comparison, live a longer, far less-stressed, much happier life! Now, all I need is for you to make me English Subtitles and I'll be in HEAVEN!!!! Thank you, my best wishes to you, Sir, your ranch, plus every cow, calf and BULL you own! Ms. Mary Maguire. 🐃🐃🐃
Hello Ms. Maguire. First of all, I want to express my total gratitude, a thousand thanks for your beautiful comment. I deeply regret not being able to put subtitles and I'll explain. I'll start by informing you that I don't own any animals, I just make the videos. I have already been asked for subtitles in several languages. The problem is that we are amateurs in this work that is only done in part-time and we don't have a program to work the subtitles, nor do we have time to do it, because even for filming, it's only on Saturdays, a little bit in the morning and always run, because I have an elderly family for whom I have appointments at the weekend. The time to work with a subtitle program is enormous. We are left with the possibility of using the automatic subtitles that RU-vid provides us and that we could use in the videos. That would be the best case scenario if there wasn't another issue which is as follows. We, where I live, are from the Azores islands and have a very different accent from the rest of the country. We are 9 islands and each island has its own accent. When we place subtitles, the automatic system does not detect the words correctly and places incorrect subtitles, with words very different from what is being said. We, in addition to speaking quickly, it's almost a dialect, we cut the words in half and say original words still used by our ancestors in rural labor. I've tried it on some videos, but it turned out really bad. For this reason, I am very very sorry from the bottom of my heart, for not being able to put subtitles. Now it's been a while since we put a text in English, in the text box below the video, about the work that is being done, at least for people to have an idea of what it might be. Here on Terceira Island these bulls are used in street bullfights. It is a secular tradition. The bulls run in the streets and then return to the pastures. There are about 220 events between May and October every year. And, yes, I think they are happier than cattle for slaughter, they live much longer and are free in the pastures, with veterinary care since they are born. This tradition is visited by thousands of tourists every year. If you want to see it, I suggest you watch the Gabriela Cultura & Tradições channel, to see what bullfights are like and then if you want to ask me anything else, I'll be at your disposal. Thank you very much, a thousand thanks, a big hug to all your family. Be very happy in your lives.
! UUUFFFAA , SOFRÍ !! (USA )
Of course. They are used for the street bullfights. With rules made by the government to protect the animals. Nobody can do any harm to them. They are very well treated with vaccines and vitamins since they are born. You can see some of these treatments here in my channel in the playlist. Thank you very much Sir
