You can play the game: colorbomb.itch... Trace is a Room Escape game where you find yourself trapped in a strange alien planet, and must solve the hidden puzzles to escape!
Hi, I am the developer of this game. This video features a bug with the star in the tube that has since been fixed. to retrieve the star from the tube, you need to use the magnet, which you can get by going to the monkey on the computer and pressing the climb button. Thanks!
Absolutely incredible! Total time played 2h 13m 21s and 5712 clicks 😂 Some of them were rage clicks to be completely honest. Everything was so smart and the computer games were so creative. Especially the tank! 10/10 so much fun❤
This has to be the most beautiful, complex and amazing free escape game I have ever played and I've played a lot! Thank you so much for creating this stunning game. I can't even imagine how much work must have gone into this.
I almost beat it without explanation but the math part was a bit hard, that puzzle with the metal part was really smart and took me a while to understand. 10/10 game
@@Goldenretriever-k8mthe D is division the 3 lines is subtraction the wavy line is addition and the one with a triangle shape is multiplication the swirly is equal (=)
Thank you so much for this walkthrough. The end credits said it took me 4 hours, lol. Really enjoyed the art style and the mathemagician mini game. The outdoors were genuinely unnerving with the constant howling of the wind. Well done!
Nice game. Would have been cool if you added voiced explanations in the walkthrough cos I'm not sure all the puzzles resolutions make clear sense to anyone. But I would say that's the reason why there can't be a perfect escape game.. Devs spend so much time on them, trying to make them complicated and tricky that some things that seem obvious or logical to them, cos well they know the answer, won't for other people nor make sense, even when they get the answer, no matter how smart or imaginative you can be, since you're not in the dev mind.
Oh my. By watching this video I learned that we skipped _a lot_ of puzzles on our way. We took a very close look at the 8 lights on the pyramid, and they experimented with the launch date till we got the planets to align right. Took maybe 10 minutes to get the year, hahaha.
After playing through a couple of times, my high score was 11 minutes, 566 clicks. That was by eliminating almost everything, which was everything outside and a couple other puzzles, like in the bathroom you only needed to do the pumpkin combination.
I beat the game in 2 hours (1st play through) and I was so mad that the jigsaw puzzle depicting the main room was only useful to reveal the place to cut the couch. In a game where you’re expected to recognize every little detail as a clue, I noticed the it had the same portrait of the button code EXCEPT THE LAST TWO PICTURES WERE SWAPPED. I went crazy trying to find what I was missing because it never worked ;-;
I couldn't figure out how you got to that 4 digit combination. but after looking at the solution I figured it out. to me the lines were just lines, where I live we use 2 dots instead of lines.
After inserting the two battery in the projector, look up to the ceiling. You see a heart with a left arrow. Go to the puzzle and start by the left green arrow. This green arrow go to a red heart so now you are inside this red heart, it will "eject" you on his left side so now you are in a black heart (top bottom left). Change black heart arrow to go in an other red heart. This second one red heart will also eject you on his left side to antother black heart. Continue until you joined the right side green arrow. This is very simple when you will understand.
I'm still confused by the logic at 19.24 7:09 has different symbols than 19:24. Only the second symbol is the same at both time stamps. I thought maybe the line of symbols above the answer at 7:09, but that is not correct either. Please help explain. Thanks
you had to count the amount of knobs above the symbols (in the tower), then you had to go back and count the knobs till you get to the correct symbol. IF THAT DIDN'T MAKE SENSE, just try to draw all of the symbols onto the blank knobs and plug in the symbols where it's boxed
Unlike at 7:09, the moving tiles are fixed in place at 19:24. You have to look at the whole long sheet of tiles at 7:09 to determine what the correct symbol is at 19:24. For example, the first symbol at 19:24 is fixed in place 3 tiles above the bottom. At the 7:09 puzzle, the symbol that is 3 tiles above the bottom is that funky V. So the first symbol at 19:24 is the funky V The second symbol at 19:24 is fixed 4 tiles from the bottom. At the 7:09 puzzle, the symbol that is 4 tiles above the bottom is that funky S. So the second symbol at 19:24 is the funky S
@Hammu :D thank you so much. I'm not sure why I couldn't see that before. It makes so much more sense now that I know the answer! I really appreciate the time you spent explaining! Much appreciated.
@graham thank you so much. I'm not sure why I couldn't see that before. It makes so much more sense now that I know the answer! I really appreciate the time you spent explaining! Much appreciated.
I had solved the division puzzle using the right logic, but spent 20 minutes trying to see what the problem was. Turns out I had inputted a wrong number by accident.

@@marketarcos786 if you use the monkey robot on the computer, and climb up, the light fixture has text that reads as follows: OPEN X OPEN O OPEN X OPEN O OPEN U
after putting the two batteries in, a light arrow is flashed on the heart on the roof. The heart is pointing to the left-hand side when looking at it the right way. Basically, had to take a picture and draw out the path for the maze, figuring out which direction the heart would go.
the clue for the phoniex made no sense to me, where did you even get the code for it? I was stuck there for a long time... thnx for the vid, it helped a lot
I imagine it was a lot like sudoku, there shouldn't be a heart in any of the same rows or columns. Additionally, it shouldn't be within one block of each other (like directly beside it or diagonal) and it should all be in its own colored boxes.
@@unoslogic173 I'm fairly sure noone escpaed without consulting the walkthrough at some point... There's no real clue about what it is expected there, understanding there could be may different types of games possible for that puzzle. Meaning you have to find what game it its supposed to be before trying to solve it...
@@Goldenretriever-k8m It literally shows you what to do. First get them a distance apart, then it shows you need to get them on separate rows, then it shows you need to get them on separate columns. It's actually a common chess puzzle, but you don't need to know that
What do I do if I messed up the light part?? I tried doing what you did but since I had already changed some of the things it didn’t work I couldn’t figure out how to reset it and I’m super stuck
I think there's a few bugs when you quit and get back to the game... I have resolved a puzzle thnaks to a code but now that I come back to the game, the puzzle isn't resolve but the code isn't accessible anymore... Also you lose all your notes and have to go take all the pictures again... but hey, that's a great game!
if you use the batteries to turn on the light fixture on the desk, it will turn on an arrow projection on the lamp that projects onto the heart on the ceiling. The arrow shows the direction that the red hearts move in the puzzle, and the black hearts move from the round end to the pointy end.
You have to space them out so that when certain patterns for each star is executed there’s only one star in that pattern) for example: there has to be a star on every color, there can only be one star per row and column, and there can’t be another star within a 1 block radius of another star. 18:57
For the part where you enter the password in settings of the computer, it won’t let me type the numbers. I think this is an issue with my device. Sad I won’t be able to finish the game though ;(
Umm I know this is not gonna happen to you but when i press the button from the second world after you complete the puzzle behind the painting, the button box doesn’t work when I press it
the heart puzzle is kinda like a maze, the light projected on the heart on the ceiling shows the direction of the red heart, and u just have to adjust the direction of the arrows to make sure it can go from the entrance to the exit
once you put the batteries in, a projector with an arrow turns on. if you look at the ceiling, the heart now has an arrow pointing left on it. that means all the red hearts mean to go left (in whatever orientation they are). hope this helped
I still do not get the hearts puzzle, worked two days on it and was stumped. There should be a save button. Each time I had to start over using notes from previous sessions.
It's showing you the direction to go to next based off the orientation of the heart. If the heart is straight up and down go left. If the heart is upside down go right. If the heart is tilted to the right go down and tilted to the left go up.
When you press red button, there is a fast pattern, it begin by checking if there is a star in each colors, then checking if each stars are not neighbours and finally if no stars are aligned. So look at the blue and red colours to start, if you put a star in blue colour, you cant put a star on the two left red spots etc...
Open the drawer under the fish tank in the order x.o.x.o.u then you will get the magnet and you can use it to take the star out where he used the troll
So every station had a red button, near the computer and the fish tank there is a code, that code is where you figure out which buttons to press. When you press the buttons in the right order you can unlock that box
The video showcases an error that has since been fixed. to get the last star, use the monkey on the computer. press the "climb" button and view the code on the lamp. this is the order to open the X O drawers. opening the drawers in this pattern will give you a magnet. use this magnet to retrieve the star.
