Word around the block is that Traci Braxton’s husband Kevin Surrat is having a major feud with the Braxton family and they have basically banned him from all events, gatherings and even vacations.
So insiders have reported that the Braxton family never really liked Kevin and they were only tolerating him because of Traci. He got on the nerves of everyone and now that Traci is gone, no one wants Kevin to be part of the family anymore. However, fans are shocked to see the family cut Kevin out so conveniently. A lot of people think that he has done something that prompted the Braxtons to shun him like this.
And it’s not like Traci married Kevin a couple years ago and he didn’t fit into the family. The two were married for like 25 years. Although they had a troubled marriage and had several ups and downs, their relationship seemed pretty solid. They even attended the show Marriage Boot Camp to solve all issues they were having with their marriage in 2014. And by the end of the show, it actually seemed like the two had found their way back to each other.
However, Traci passed away at 50 because of esophageal cancer. Most people didn’t even know that Traci was struggling with the disease for over a year and was undergoing treatments. And it was only made public when she passed away. Now after Traci’s death, her son Kevin jr also started having a lot of issues that were even discussed in The Braxtons.
The show talked about how Kevin jr has to power through his mother’s death while his own marriage is breaking. His wife is taking a divorce from him and he’s being left all alone. Amid this situation, all Kevin jr has is his father. However, in the show, it was revealed that Kevin jr and Kevin senior don’t really speak to each other. Both of them are probably trying to manage the grief of losing Traci.
