We can narrow down the case this way:The Ex boyfriend,contacted the so friend of Rita to meet her at Magharibi(strathmore lady).This then sets ground for the killer to meet Rita. We can deduce the following; The government failed to grid phone connection between (Ex boyfriend,strathmore lady and Ex boyfriend mothers communication. In criminal investigation;Cutting the leg and Head is a price target.The assassin was authorized to dismember Her. To understand the investigation (Forensically analyze Lady friend and Ex boyfriend- if they communicated weeks before the murder. Lastly,why did the friend open up later?.Taking time to rinse truth.

This is very sad.I hope the man will be arrested.He is a very dangerous man.

I watch murder documentaries and the crimes a lot. I used to brag about my country and assume that this monstrous and eerie killings only happens uko majuu. The pain that slapped my heart it happened home is unbearable 😭

If you investigate this murder, the first primary suspect should be your immediate ex lover, your current lover, the 10 people you communicated with before you disappeared or die. 2nd what the body says about the assailant and the method of killing. If the murder is so gruesome and suffered many cuts don't look far, it's a crime of passion so investigate and interrogate persons of interest. The current boyfriend or immediate ex. But do our police detective have that time or willing to bring the culprit to book?! They have this phrase what do I gain if the suspect is jailed for life, then the suspect is asked to pay something and detective choose to look the other side. May God himself gives all victims justice. Police claimed the scene of crime is washed clean and leave no trace behind is suspicious, either the victim was killed somewhere else and brought there to frame someone or thwarting investigators. What detectives should have done is to send forensic teams to the suspect home they may have recovered clothes or any clue. There is no perfect crime especially where decapitation is concerned. Blood can be cleaned but not washed away... I love crime investigation doc and series since I was kid. From Inspector Derrick to Medical detective, Forensic investigation, CSI name it. So it gives me a few understand of how to do investigation.

So many questions that can be easily answered: the meeting at Magharibi, the friend is lying about the date. She can trace her conversations to know the exact date and use the restaurant's cctv. 2nd the ransom text was just a ploy to cover up the insane reason for killing her, it must have been some sick reason. 3rd, we're all her organs intact?

This was the ex boyfriend's doing,,that Calton guy was paid to start a relationship with her to gain trust and finish her,,,plain and simple

My friend invited me to go for a picnic with her…. Little did i know she had planned for me to be robbed… i lost every thing money 2 phones a camera make up😭😭 but come the next day a good samaritan had reached out that he found our IDs so there was no need report to the police…nothing added up but i for sure know it was a set up

That said, there are a few lessons women can now learn, get some information on ppl u r dating and tell atleast one person u trust about them and whenever u go to meet them, let a loved one know with whom.. Even secretly if u have to.. phone number, id, passport and ask yourself questions.. If he can’t give u his phone number but wants u to spend time with them then they can’t date u.. it’s okay to be firm, mean and ‘bad’ kunyimana number ama kulenga strangers, it might save your life. It’s not a 100% murderproof plan but it’s better to try. Trust nobody, a bit extreme yes but necessary. Get you something in your bag, pepper spray or something.. ama ata ndimu/pili pili kwa kachupa..

Having watched so many murder documentaries I think this is a very simple case to solve. We just have don't care investigators. Such a gruesome thing is often tied to passion, which only translates to an individual who knew her, mostly an individual who sent the killer her way cause we can all see how adamant he was on their meeting, how he didn't show emotions towards her, he didn't even like her if you read the texts well. Also, no crime scene is perfectly clean. There're always missed evidences by the murderer. He must've left something behind, but that can only be seen and found if the investigators look closely. Also, the closest people to Rita, why weren't they questioned? From the friend, the ex boyfriend...they all have something to say, even though small. Phones can be traced, cctv offer evidence, ah...with the resources the DCI have it's so easy to get the guy. I'm sad for her family. I feel for them cause loosing a daughter is painful, through murder makes it worse, and not finding justice is worst. We can do better as a country. It's not too hard to catch a killer if you look at the right things and places 😢 Rita's parents, I'm sorry. May you find peace and may the killer be brought to book. 😢😢

The problem we don't have dedicated detective to unrelentless investigate murder cases with passion of finding the murderer even homicides cases seems to be a heavy burden on them, if they were sharp the way the are on traffic rules and illicit business on murder too then we would have very little to worry. Whether you give this guy training, equipment and forensic lab they will still failed to solve this cases. Do you know why? It doesn't have money or the culprit have enough to buy freedom and innocence from our wicked DCI, Police department at large and prosecution team.

A very gut wrenching story!!!!! The cops are not serious. This killer who was probably on a mission on behalf of someone is still roaming around. With a visible face despite trying to hide his identity he should have been arrested long time ago. The ex-boyfriend, the friend who called her for lunch should thoroughly be investigated!!!!

The Kenya police will not help. I really feel sorry for this family. After listening to this; my guess is that there is no Nigerian connection. This was planned and executed by her friend and other Kenyans. The ex bf is a major suspect according to me. The man who killed her was hired to kill her. May God give strength to this family. May the killers never get any peace. As for the Kenyan police… I have no words! Only God can help these parents.
