this show helps me with my depression...for a month now. no its not an escape. THATS the best part. it just tells me that no matter what, cars and machines with motors and wheels will always be the most real thing out there (second to mum ofcourse).

I'd have the Ford. The Ford Sierra Cosworth is my favourite fast saloon car (The Sapphire Cosworth) and my favourite hot hatchback (the RS500 and the original RS Cosworth from 1986 and 1987). I'm amazed the BMW was the fastest even with botched and damaged suspension. The main reason I bring that up is because after my Father part exchanged his last Sierra in for a white 2000 Skoda Octavia diesel, the skoda gave us 18 months of trouble and big Bill's (one of which-£650 for an MOT and at one point £300 for a steering rack). Despite having 160,000 miles on the clock and despite being 10 years newer than the 5th Sierra we had before, it was actually in worse condition. It had a series of nasty repairs-mainly both the front driveshafts, the struts, the hubs and the wheel bearings bodged together. At some point in the past, it had a front wheel bearing changed and in the process, the bearing got over tightened and damaged. It had alot of faults-worn suspension, corroded hubs, knackered front driveshafts, tired brakes and chattery steering. Down the road, it was making all kinds of weird noises-slapping, grinding chattering sounds until one day, after putting diesel in the car, we pulled out of a petrol station and there was this nasty snapping sound-The driveshafts had pulled away and the struts gave away. It had to have new struts, new bearings, new hubs, new driveshafts, etc afterwards. It was due for another MOT, but, it was going to cost more than 600 quid again, so, we got rid of it after 18 months. Waving goodbye to the Sierra was honestly the worst thing my family ever did. Even my Father said so. He actually told me he wished he kept it for longer. Best car we ever had and one of the many reasons, why, I claim the Sierra is the best family car and my favourite family car of all time.

Even if the E36 is faster, I would personally rather have the Sierra. My parents used to have a 1.8 LX, and they miss it dearly. I still remember how much they loved it. It was in pristine condition for its age. They owned it between 2003 and 2006 and for an old Ford from 1987, it had little to no rust which is amazing for a Sierra.
