Haha! What are the chances! Yeah I was initially thinking it was a ride out to Snetterton for nothing and Cash wasted! But turned out great! Even got sunburn on my neck. Do you crop up on the track in at all?

Andy Man Cam unfortunately not mate. That was my 4th TD and I was in the fast group. It gets very addictive tho so do watch out you dont catch the bug! ;)

Thanks Michael. Only one small incident. I thing somebody got rear ended. Just saw some dude off the track inspecting the very floppy tail section of his R1! Poor guy. Camera missed it though!! Typical! Nobody hurt though, which is the main thing.

Cheers Mitch! Most important is to have fun! Remember to let your tyres warm up EVERY session. It's better to brake too early a few times than to brake too late once! Make sure you have a full tank of juice when you get there because you'll use shed loads more than usual. And it's not a race. It's all about your own ride and the only competition is nailing those racing lines. Have fun mate, I'm very jealous!!

Cheers for the tips. I will certainly enjoy it. Going with a few mates so will be a good road trip as well. Im now watching every vid to learn the track.

Now worries! I was looking at going to The Nürburgring yesterday because I'm itching to get back on a track again! And don't worry, you'll learn the track SUPER quick on the day!

Dear Estuary (?), To be honest mate they were very relaxed. The sound was STRICT. Some guys were turned away, no refunds. But for everything else they didn't do any real scrutineering. Obviously if your tyres are showing fibres or there's fuel/oil/water/blood dribbling out of your bike or it's clearly crabbing at 30º to straight then they'd probably pull you aside! They recommended giving the bike a service and a once over before you leave home and having tools for tightening and adjusting stuff. Also they rocommend having spare oil as you'd be surprised how much more oil even a tip top condition bike will use when it's being thraped! As for the mirrors, they simply asked that you turn them away or tape them so that you can't use them. What's going on behind you is too much of a distraction from the hairpin rattling toward you at 100mph. Where are you going? I'm EXTREMELY jealous! I'd love to get the new bike on a track!! (Thinking about maybe doing a lap or two of the Nürburgring this year....)

Off to Brands Hatch to do the Indy circuit. It's a short blast (within speed limits) over the bridge and into the Garden of England. I will get my camera set up for then. The FZ6 will be fine on the sound, less confident on the DL1000 :-( Appreciate the tips as I will take a few supplies in prep. I did the Nuerburgring in a Passat Estate many years ago. Quite a laugh ;-) Thanking you.

Estuary Biker Ah, what a splendid day that awaits you! Just to make sure you're aware, the camera has to be fixed to the bike too. No head/body mounting allowed. If the nur'gring is fun in a passat, it should be belters on 2 wheels!

Yeah, my bad there! I knew it was a 4 cylinder, just assumed they stuck with the 675cc's Whoops!

Andy Man Cam It was a 600 but they moved up to a 650 for 2005, the 675 came out in 2006. I'm actually not sure this is a 600 or a 650.
