I have loved all the Heats I have had over the years. The reaction you were getting with the LAVA is what I expect to see from a Heat. Clean through the fronts and a strong yet controllable move through the pins. Awesome! Definitely have it on my list for my tourney arsenal.

First angle doesn't matter on symmetrical. Mb is gonna be in the thumb hole. Doesn't matter where you put the cg on a symmetrical.

@@Tenpindoctors Then why bother mentioning the motion it's going to create when it doesn't aid in ball motion at all? It's the equivalent of saying how much side weight a ball that doesn't have a pancake weight block has. Not needed, doesn't matter.

Because every step is put in place to help others understand dual angle layouts and how to get there. We dont always have to be technical. Sometimes we keep things one way to not confuse some

@@davidpena63 if you were to draw a line 6-3/4 inches from the pin through the CG, you could find the "mass bias" but with the new rules banning extra holes, the PSA is going to end up in the thumb, no matter where the cg is. So the drill angle on a symmetrical doesn't matter any more. Heck, it didn't even matter before the extra hole rule because the extra hole is what moved the PSA off of the thumb.

Just as clean but better in the midlane... same midlane as the gb2p, but more downlane with the lava

What is a good asymmetric ball to pair with the Lava? I haven't bowled serious in 20 years, but considered starting, again. I was thinking of the Physix or Choice. However, I am sure you have experimented with enough to have an opinion. -I know by "good" it can mean many things. As in, is the one ball easy to adjust off of for a another ball, or together they widen your reaction spectrum. I guess, overall, what are guys going out there with and feeling like they are getting it done better on sport/PBA patterns? I also have an undrilled Columbia Apogee laying around somewhere, so I don't really know how I would fit that thing into the mix. That is supposedly assymetric, but it looks like it turns over weaker than the lava.

Does the higher pin (60 degrees) explain why the pin is so high? Or is that the 5 inches to pap?

Last number, the closer to 20 the higher the pin.

TheVlad1616 how did it react ? I’m looking for a ball that’s better on dry and really dry lanes ( almost house ). I like this ball. Just wondering what the best lay out.

Jiggly Bandito layout determines the shape of the ball. On dry conditions, you probably want some with length that retains energy though. Otherwise it’ll burn energy early and/or not carry corner pins. Check the link out to understand what the #s mean and do to the shape. www.bowlersreference.com/Ball/Layout/Dual.htm
