0:43: Les Grippons - one of the most demanding corners in modern hillclimb racing. What an insane speed and what a crazy track record. Thanks for sharing.
I wonder how many of current f1-drivers would have the balls to pull this one off at this speed on this track, without halo, safer barriers or run off area. Honestly, if you see this vid, it's a disgrace, when you go to a random European capital and ask random people things about motorsport, most people will know Lewis Hamilton but at the same time won't have heard of Simone Faggioli at all.
That's a good point indeed: making it short I guess we should focuse on different iterations of the "braveness" and "skill" concepts applied to car racing or to competition motoring overall, both on 4 and 2 wheels.Your comment could equally be well spot on when comparing Indy racing on ovals and F1,or the Tourist Trophy of Man Island with the motorbike GP. There are likely different ways to express skill and braveness and possibly we mistakenly reckon that a top hillclimb driver would be as good on a speedway. Moving on from this point, I agree such a dangerous and exciting competition deserves a wider echo and a much larger audience.
0:52: Mein lieber Herr Gesangsverein... Man darf sich gar nicht ausmalen was da los ist, wenn mal ein Wagen bei diesem Speed in Les Grippons ausbrechen sollte.
Killer vídeo and climb! Does anybody happens to know which car/driver was number 13? In the entry list there is nobody with that number, but he apearas in other St. Ursanne 2019 videos. Its maybe a Norma, with a bigger rear wing, and It also says Faggioli Racing Team on that same wing. Thx in advance!
@@KDWEntertainment Thank you so much. Was that an error in the competitors list? That car got my attention because of the huge (almost Pikes Peak spec hehe) back wing and the engine sound. Are specs listed anywhere? Again, thanks!
@@ricardopereira2746 do not think that accurate data are to be found somewhere as far as I know he has around 800HP at a weight of about 700kg 3.7l twin turbo here is a video of the entire Faggioli team from this year's Rechberg HillClimb ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BTR2ZdhBUbw.html Best Regards *KDW Entertainment*
