i wouldn't know what kind of suspension for the trams use. because in the video i can see the mirror in the cab shaking when the tram runs over the track switch
Yep, the use of foot pedals is a quirk of the Hague trams. The first motorised trams of the system (the PCC cars) used foot pedals, and it has remained the same since. The new TINA trams they ordered from Stadler will also be operated that way. As far as I know, HTM is the only tram network in the Netherlands that still does this, the other three (Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and Utrecht) use a combined power/brake handle nowadays.
If I remember correctly, the tram drivers didn’t like the hand-operated throttle/brake on the RegioCitadis trams and therefore the newer trams were fitted with the foot pedals.
Als de matrix niet gaat branden kunnen we er niet zeker van zijn dat het wissel vergrendeld ligt. Daarom moeten we hem met de hand 'resetten' en voelen of er genoeg weerstand is en dat de wisseltongen goed aansluiten. Anders is er een risico op ontsporing.
