I show you how to properly modify and track your car with Apple AirTags. Apple AirTags are wonderful tracking devices that can stick to anything to track. Tracking your car is another security measure, where you can track your car in the event of theft. In order to thwart these car thieves, you need to modify your AirTags so they cannot chime your AirTag, find it, and remove it from your car. I will show you step by step how to modify your AirTag to remove the speaker and install your Apple AirTag in your car!

The operating distance of these air tags is 10 m. As soon as the thief leaves your driveway, air tag range is gone

A sound goes off if an AirTag is close to someone for too long to prevent stalking.

Can we disable such alerts? As and when owner wants to know, then tag may give alert to near by Apple user.. does it immediately notify the Apple users? If that is the case, iPhone users get so many alerts on common areas..

I agree it’s not easy to remove but if you watch video and use that tiny silver dot thing as reference it’s possible. Had to use razor to pop off and used needle to remove speaker to avoid damage anything around the speaker. And my airtag still works!! 🎉🎉🎉🚙

Nice ad for air tags but even if you do track it you still won't get your car back unless it's sitting in a driveway and you steal it back. The cops won't do anything and if it's already got on a ship overseas you will never get it back.

@@tarabeeman830unless you live in a rural area the air tag will ping its last known location a few times within the hour. And yes until you’re about 30 feet away is when you can accurately pinpoint its location.

I’m currently 40kms from my motorbike and can see from my phone where it is parked. I can also see my wifes car and once tracked my late luggage to Melbourne Airport when I was 900kms away. I don’t understand why people say they only work within 40 feet.

The design of the speaker that is very easy to remove has a specific purpose from the manufacturer Apple. Apple is a large company that is very careful in releasing products that could be misused. By removing the speaker, it means we are consciously taking responsibility for using the device for whatever purpose, thus Apple is freed from accusations of creating a device that is misused.

@@carswithsonduren are we able to look up and find where our stolen item is without enableing LOST mode and setting off the audio? IOTW just simply looking at Find My Phone App and seeing where it currently is? Ive noticed that the Air tags are very slow at updating locations... so to speed that process up, we enable LOST mode, but then the speaker will activate giving the thieves a heads up there is an Airtag on the item which could encourage them to start looking for the hidden airtag...

Wouldn’t it still notify someone that an AirTag is following them? Or does that not work because the AirTag belongs to the car? And that person could just be riding inside of it?

I should have done this before my 2020 GMC Seirra SLT was stolen 24 days ago. 😢 The thieves were able to locate my OnStar transponder and shut it off. By now I'm guessing my truck is either in Mexico or in a chop shop getting gutted out. 🤬

I’ve thought about this also but they can’t get info of where it’s placed exactly, I’ve thought about putting 2 in my car so if they do find one they’ll think they got rid of the tracker & if I’m honest I don’t think it’s likely for a thief to be focused on his phone while stealing lol

There is no distance limit. It acts as a beacon that Apple devices pickup and report back. For example, someone walking by your car with their iPhone in their pocket would report the location of the tag to apples servers. The tag can be tracked to any location so long as an apple device eventually passes by it and reports its location.

@@agent47107 no. That’s just how these devices work. They don’t have a data connection or GPS. They just emit a signal and Apple devices pickup on it and know how far away it is then report the location using their own GPS to Apple servers. AirTags are only useful in countries with large amounts of Apple devices. If you lived in the US and hid an AirTag in your car and it was stolen, you could watch as it is being transported to a boat and watch as it sails across to Africa or India or somewhere like that where it will then disappear because iPhones aren’t as popular there. You’d only see it again once an iPhone user walks by it

If you pull the fuse box cover off under your hood and look for the fuel pump relay in the picture on the bottom of the lid and just pull it. The car will turn over till the battery is dead but wont start theyll think its out of gas and move on.Then do what this video shows .
