In this short video I showcase how to remove and replace the Bilge & Livewell Pumps. Amazon Product Links: Johnson 1000gph Cartridge - amzn.to/3i6EZ4C Johnson 750gph Cartridge -amzn.to/3i2noLj Johnson 500gph Cartridge -amzn.to/3k9YOL4
For the live well it appears that it is also a johnson pump. The motor cartridges for the bilge and the live-well are the same just put a new cartridge in the live-well casing no need to remove it through the transom.
The plumbing to the bilge outlet is difficult to me.. it’s a thru-hull fitting and can’t get to it from inside the bilge area, there’s a wall in the way. My fitting doesn’t have a nut to put pliers on, my guess is its a lock nut inside the hull. I have 2 options, twist the fitting until it breaks, or cut a hole in the wall for access.
Thanks, it helps me, because I didn't know there was a lever that needed to be lifted (you're the first guy to say there is a lever, I've watched like 8 videos, and I can't get close enough to the pump to see the lever). I've been thinking that the cartridges were just stuck since my boat is 8 years old.
Great video! I have a 2020 pro V 16 and my recirculator and aerator doesn't work but the bilge does. Would you happen to know which one is the recirculating pump. Owner manual has no diagram from live well system. Thanks. Fellow Tracker owner
