I bought the same boat. 2021. Very happy overall. Keep an eye on your fuel gage. At times it’s not accurate. I upgraded the trailer to a dualie. Really smooth tow and easier to get up and down my steep driveway without dragging anything. I would recommend going with the Garmin graphics. Had to do a soft boot too many times with the Lowrance that came with this boat and the one on my last boat. If you want to add a kicker. Be ready for a 6 month wait. Next investment for the boat I’ll be upgrading the trolling motor with spot lock. Fish on!!
Nice work! just bought the same boat 2022 model, just waiting for the dealer to get my 15 merc trolling Moyer installed. For what it's worth, I have had great luck with Tracker boats since 2000 good to see the walk around live!
Beautiful boat. A couple of thoughts...mount that fire extinguisher where you can get to it quickly. You are right about the phone location. You need a place where it can charge and out of the sun so it does not overheat and shut off. Using the small live well as a cooler. That is a great idea...thank you. Good luck.
I actually really like the idea of this line but in order to fit a family of 8 id need the v19 and $45k minimum is a bit high. Lookin like a sun tracker 18 dlx fishing barge for me. Not entirely decided but it checks the most boxes so far minus speed. Anyhow, great review man, you really answered all my questions!
Great review. You need some rod holders for the versatrack. That button is not a primer but a way to disengage the gear shift to rev the motor in neutral. Tight lines
Thanks! I probably worded it wrong by calling it a primer. But it’s primarily used to provide more fuel to the motor to start it when needed, while keeping it in neutral. I do have additional rod holders for the versatrack but did not have them in the boat during the review. Fish on, my friend.
No it's for having boat in neutral and running motor nice 4 when on trailer running engine without an prop spinning or over reving without a load. Has nothing to do with fuel. Especially since it's fuel injected
Great review! I've been comparison shopping for awhile now and, for the price, this really seems to deliver everything at a better value than comparable Alumacraft and Lund models.
I just finished watching the video on your previous 16SC. I can see a lot of reasons why you upgraded. I REALLY like the way those back seats fold up to make a larger rear platform and the center storage for the rods. Having the charger for the batteries is a big plus too. Does the dual console/windshield make a big difference in staying dry from the chop/mist in windy conditions?
Seems like the tumble-forward design of the rear seats eats up a lot of interior space and would make the stern of the boat pretty inaccessible without stepping up. I guess it retains more rear storage or whatever, though.
Overall yes. However, I’ve had to take it in the last two years for warranty work: one being to fix the front deck from sagging and the other to fix the back deck from sagging. According to the dealership, tracker didn’t put the proper bracing in like they should have to prevent those issues. Also, be prepared to find random screws that fall out of something from getting loosened up. My advice is to go through your boat and tighten things once in a while to prevent a screw from coming loose and searching for hours to figure out where it came from. Other than that, it rides great, handles big water great, and gives a lot of versatility. Hope this helps.
Excellent review of the boat. I've been looking at the same model, just not sure it will fit in my driveway attached to truck. Do you know what the overall length is from ball hitch to motor prop?
There should be a black plastic nub sticking out towards the bottom of the pole not that far up from the floor. Use your foot to push it inwards and downward if needed to unlock the seat from the base of the floor. You may need to push the seat down with your hands as you’re doing it then pull up and the seat should pop out. Let me know if it helps.
Hey Richie! Thanks for the compliment. Honestly, I love the way this boat handles and cuts through the water. It’s spacious enough for the family and versatile for both fishing and recreational purposes. Let me know if you have additional questions. Fish on, my friend!
Two years later this motor is going strong ru-vid.comUgkxBZWgzfpS2Jj7JqIHyaSZjyVHNUgCKCBf Just uploaded a video of it after 2 years. We use it probably a dozen days each year on our small raft.-original review- We got this motor the other day and tested it out. I don't have anything to compare it to, but it seems good to me. It has all the features advertised - the motor housing is metal. We will see how it performs longer term and I will revise this review if needed. Some initial observations:- Good thrust, moves our boat around really well- It comes with a circuit breaker but no switch - so there's no way to kill the motor other than yanking the connection off the battery. I installed an inline switch.- The mount bracket is plastic and I worry it might break- There are a number of plastic parts that I worry about, but the most important ones are metal or some kind of composite
Hey Kris! It depends on the type of motor you choose, your destination for freight cost, and other factors. Hop on Tracker boats website and select their build a boat option for accurate pricing for what you want. Hope this helps 🤜🤛
I tried the Targa 19 with a 150hp on it and honestly wasn’t impressed. The motor was a dog for that boat. The extra space was nice. I like the v175 a lot more for my personal fishing needs.
Thank you for your quick response my friend I currently have a grizzly tracker 1648 9.9 and it is extremely dangerous to be out on the Potomac tidal river I really think the 175 will be perfect
I ran into garage entrance height issue with my v175. Hooked up to the truck, the windshield is about 3" to tall to fit. Fortunately, if i back it in right up to the windshield, i can disconnect and lower the jack all the way down, then just push it in. I haven't measured the actual wiggle room yet doing that does, but i feel like it's around 8" drop at the windshield. This is with the tandem axle trailer, but single shouldn't be too different.
I have the same boat, the one and only thing I have a problem with is the damn rod storage. It says eight but you have to squeeze the bottom 4 rods in, because the carpet is to high. have not had time to tryu and fix it but if anyone has, let me know. Oh, and my shepard loves it.
@@jakemiester45 the rod storage is a very tight fit for sure. They need to improve this. Please subscribe to my other channel where I create additional helpful fishing videos. It’s called: Red Angle Fishing Products. Thanks in advance and tight lines, my friend. 🎣
Hey Marty! This particular trolling motor in the video is 60”. The one that came with the boat is 54”. The 54” will work, but the 60” will help the propeller stay in the water better when there’s a lot of wake and your boat is bobbing. Hope this helps!
@@timmygbass6287 Thx. I have a 54" on my Proteam 175 that I thought about transferring to a Proguide, if I can find one. But, I'm not sure the Proguide will fit in my garage.
It’s just the standard prop that came with the motor. My boat before this did about 32mph. It is nice having the extra speed for when I’m traveling the lake and testing fishing products I make. Be sure to follow my bait making channel: Red Angle Fishing
Hi George. That’s a great question. Unfortunately I’ve never experienced ocean fishing, so I cannot provide an honest answer. I would recommend doing some research and ask around in some online forums. I hope this helps. Fish on my friend.
@@timmygbass6287 I have the same setup, just not the combo. Love the 115 Pro XS but 37 is my top. I’m sure it has something to do with the captain! Nice boat.
@@timmygbass6287 I have the same setup, just not the combo. Love the 115 Pro XS but 37 is my top. I’m sure it has something to do with the captain! Nice boat.
Thanks! I added upgraded electronics, trolling motor and went with the Pro XS motor. All this added significantly to the cost of the boat, but you can go onto Tracker’s website and build a boat to get a more accurate price. Hope this helps.
Hi Gia! Great question! The total storage length listed by Tracker with motor trimmed down and tongue folded is 21’4”. I hope this helps. Fish on, my friend.
The power drive that this boat comes with a decent trolling motor, just not the best fit for the boat and the locator they added on these was a waste. We ordered this boat and due to some unforseen circumstances, to make a long story short, we ended up with a Ranger VS 1682. Glad you shared this because I can see I am very pleased at how things ended up for us. Not knocking the 175 wt nice boat more storage. But the Ranger ended up being a better option for what we needed. Just has much better components and the price was not much more than the tracker. Still had to upgrade the fish locator and trolling motor. Both boats manufactured by Tracker. Thanks for sharing, best walk thru I have seen for this boat.
Hey Jason. Thanks for the compliment. Also, thank you for the feedback between the Ranger & Tracker. I’m happy to read you made the decision that best fits your needs. You’re also right about Tracker and Ranger being the same company, not many people know this. Fish on, my friend!
Nice review. Are you still happy with it? 2 weeks ago my wife and I ordered this boat with the 150. I probably wont get to use it much before our Michigan cold weather but we'll be ready next spring.

I own this exact boat. I'm curious about how you wired your bank charger to your 2 trolling motor batteries. I can't seem to find an easy way to fish wires between the two compartments. Thanks
Hi Adam. Thanks for watching. I ended up paying the dealership to do it for me since I was running into the same issues as you. Although it may not be cheap to pay them, at least it will be done correctly and save you an immense amount of stress. Hope this helps and fish-on, my friend.
I have a 1992 Nitro 160TF. It is sufficient for all my local fishing needs, but is not very good for running over to lake Erie. This boat definitely gives me something to think about. I did have one question though. Is it easy to load and unload by yourself? That is the one reason I never went with a bigger bass boat. Mine is so easy to load and unload by yourself. Sweet boat, my 1992 was the best investment I have ever made.
Hey Charles. This boat handles rough water really well. I had the tracker v16 pro guide (I’ll share the link below to that review) previously and it did really good with rough water as well. I do most of my fishing alone and I don’t have any issue with loading and unloading the v175. The v16 was a little easier but both are very manageable. Subscribe if this helps 😃 Fish on my friend! Nice looking boat. I see your spare tire rack is empty. If you don’t have one, strongly consider getting one. Nothing worse than having your rig on the side of the highway and no spare.
Boat + trailer and gear weighs about 3,000 lbs. almost any truck can pull this. But I would suggest a 1/2 ton truck (f150, Chevy 1500, dodge ram 1500, Toyota tundra, Nissan Titan)
I never actually got to see this boat on a showroom. Only the v16 sc. which I ordered back in January. However I went to a different boat dealer and they had the v175 and I was blown away with how bigger in comparison it is. The specs make it seem like their close to the same size. Plus the v16 has hardly any storage. What did you like about this one over the v16? I’m considering buying this exact boat instead, as it was a refundable deposit.
Hey Justin. The size difference between the v175 and v16 sc is fairly significant. That’s a big bonus for me as I fish a lot on lake St Clair, which is known to be a rough lake much of the time. And as you mentioned, the v16 didn’t provide much storage. Also, the v175 combo offers great diversity between fishing & recreational use. I hope this helps. Be sure to keep me posted on what you decided and how you like it. Tight lines!
I am considering this exact boat. This biggest worry is if the 3rd person is in cockpit, how difficult is gonna be to cast fwd? Is that windshield right in the way? If this boat came in SC I would have already purchased. Thanks
Hi Jason. I’ve had 4 of us on this boat at the same time and everything was fine. Just be aware of who’s casting and when, and you should be just fine. Is a spacious boat - especially when you remove the seats you don’t need. Hope this helps.
@@jasonbeckley7693 the front livewell is 19 gallons. If I don’t use it as a livewell or cooler, it can be used for extra storage for tackle, etc. It’s deceivingly bigger than it looks. The back livewell is 29 gallons.
Thanks for the great review. I am about to pull the trigger on the 2023 version. They made some nice upgrades. I'm looking at the 150 merc. The one I am looking at doesn't have a separate fish finder at the bow and I am not sure if it is prewired so I can add one later. Do both your Lowrance units run off the same transducer? The driver Lowrance is mounted on a swivel, and I am wondering if I can see it while sitting in the bow fishing position. Do you know if it's possible to display the fish finder on a smart phone or tablet? I have owned sailboats where this was a inexpensive way to have multiple navigation positions. Are your auxiliary batteries in parallel or series? Thanks for responses and for making a great review.
These boats typically don’t come with a fish finder on the bow - I had to have one ran at the bow and upgraded the one on the console (as you can see in the video). They run on two different transducers - console graph’s transducer is mounted on back of boat and bow is mounted on the bottom of the trolling motor. These particular units do not show on a phone/tablet. I’m not sure about being able to see the console graph from the bow since I never used the one that came with the boat. The cables are ran on the same side of the boat (driver side) where they’re connected from the main battery that powers them. Hope this helps. Definitely follow us on our Red Angle Fishing Products channel as well - we’re the same people as this channel. Tight lines 🎣

@@timmygbass6287 thanks I'm goin in a few weeks and order it. They said it can take 3 months to get them in.. I got one ? About the trolling motor.. does it have I pilot on the stock motor??
@@kingkong-xy5pd no, unfortunately it does not. As you probably saw in the video, I upgraded the trolling motor to get the additional features that you’re looking for. I definitely recommend getting a trolling motor with spot-lock/anchor mode - it’s well worth it. Hope this helps.
I have the same boat. Biggest complaints of mine are no dry storage and once they get wet they stay wet for a while. The other thing is there quality control with carpet and the woven vynil. I had allot of other issues from factory that either the dealer or myself have taken care of.
@@timmygbass6287have you had any other issues. The port side consol fell completely off and laid in the floor of the boat a couple months back on a 1 hour journey down a two lane state highway to a lake. I had the cover on and noticed it looked funny so I pulled over. This will be my 6-7th time back to the dealer for warranty work in less than 2 years
Great review of your boat. I'm looking to order one soon that will be used as a family boat, mostly fishing but also some tubbing and water sports with the kids. Any idea what the top speed is with the 115hp motor?
Thanks, Jeffrey. The 115hp is rated for speeds between 42-45mph - plenty of speed for water sports in my opinion. I personally have not been over 40mph as of yet, but the motor is still being broken in, so we’ll see if I can squeak out a few additional mph after that. Hope this helps.
@@timmygbass6287 I have the same boat but with the standard 115, which is about 1 mph slower than the Pro XS. However, I also expected 42-45 mph, but I can't get much over 35mph...maybe 37. So who and how is getting these boats to 45 mph to advertise such speeds? I like my boat but I can't make myself love it. What about you?
@@bkpugsley I have to admit that I’m disappointed with the speed since it is advertised to go faster. Other than that, I do really like my boat. I’ve found a few flaws here and there with the craftsmanship. Nothing crazy, but minor things that shouldn’t be for what this boat costs. Have you tried experimenting with different fuel octanes for improved speed?
@@timmygbass6287 I haven't but it's supposed to turn 6000rpm at WOT and it seems to top at around 5000 rpm so I'm wondering if it was tested unrealistically empty and with a more aggressive prop. I'm not sure... luckily 35 mph is usually faster than we want to go unless the lake is like glass. I am happy with the quality...I wish the windshields weren't so tall as it BARELY fits into my 7' tall garage door. All in all I am satisfied with the boat.
