First tracking day of the season!! Join Kyle for a long day of tracking a big buck up to the summit in the mountains of Vermont. These bucks go to great lengths to grow old and survive the pressure of hunters and predators. It takes tons of grit and determination to tag a mountain monarch where deer densities are so low. Lots of fun along the way on this track, enjoy!
We’re off to a great start this season and we're looking forward to sharing many more adventures ahead this year with you all! Stay tuned for tons of content to come!

Cool to see some videos from Vermont. I live in southern Vermont got a decent 8 point out in the big woods this year. Sparked a new fire under my ass to get deeper and into areas people don’t like to go.

Thanks Evan! That’s awesome! Congrats on your buck. Always a challenge but it’s that much more rewarding when you do connect with a good one! Good luck out there next season and thanks for following along.

I have some new found respect for you guys that hunt the mountains in VT. I tried to keep up with some billie goat friends from St J this past week. I was wiped out after a half day. We scored one deer and had a great time. The snow makes the hunt.

Thanks Leroy!! That’s awesome, sounds like you had quite the full mountain experience! Good stuff and congrats on the success of the group and great memories made. Glad you enjoyed it and gained a whole new appreciation for it. Hope you can make it back out there next year and have some success of your own!

That sure was a really nice set he had going for himself i don't think it was his first time putting the ol slip on a hunter.... Well it's late doe season here and i already got one of them this year so it's back to bow hunting until the end of December my boys are showing the signs of being burnt out, but I'm damn proud of them little guys they put in some miles this year with crummy weather warm and raining, cold and slushy but they learned a ton and that's what we enjoy doing..... But I'm thinking about trying something i haven't done yet with a few county's here that stay open until the end of Jan and it's bow only... So I'm going for a birthday buck for the first time.... So I'm hopeful that January brings some normal weather my way so i can get after um. My luck all i will see are 180 pound bucks with no head gear running all over the place lol but on the bright side i might just find some really fresh sheds.

That’s for sure! He’s played that game before. And that’s great to hear the boys toughed it out and hunted hard! That’s all you can ask, and many great memories were made along the way. Good luck getting back out there… deerpression has officially set in for me as our season has ended and it’s back to reality. Already eager to get out there next year!

@@WanderingWhitetails mine is in 30-06, I love mine, the 742 kinds seem to have problems with the corkscrew bolt, with it being your grandpas I know it will never be sold!

Awesome! My 7600 is is 30-06 and the 22 inch barrel like yours. I've never had an issue with this one, heard a lot about those issues but it's laid down many bucks over the years so we'll keep it going!

@@WanderingWhitetails Yeah but just clowning mostly. I Hunt Mt.Hood ,Mt.Adams and some others but I don’t ever hunt the tops😂. I actually like the coast range Blacktail hunting most of all.

Sounds like an awesome time! I would love to make it out there and experience the different types of deer hunting some day! I've heard some great Blacktail hunting stories from a family member who lived in Alaska for years.

What are you scared of the dark I used to be on top of a mountain waiting for day light
@WanderingWhitetails
@WanderingWhitetails 7 месяцев назад
Just need to get to bed earlier to get up early enough to make it up top by daylight! Props to you for your dedication. Tough to do after getting your butt handed to you day in and day out in the mountains. But it also takes those bucks a couple hours to make tracks on fresh snow so beating to the top isn’t always the best thing in my experience.
