TRACKING THE TROPICS: Tracking two disturbances in the tropics 

We are tracking two areas in the tropics. One disturbance is currently over the southern Gulf and is forecast to move west-northwest into the western Gulf of Mexico in the coming days. This has a HIGH CHANCE for tropical development, and a tropical depression or storm is likely to develop midweek Heavy rainfall will bring flooding concerns to portions of Mexico and possibly portions of Southeast Texan coast in the coming days. Another disturbance is moving west-northwest to the northeast of the Bahamas, and it could have some slow development as it moves west-northwest towards Florida, Georgia, and the Bahamas. Right now there is a LOW CHANCE of tropical development over the next 2 to 7 days.
