Trackrod Rally Yorkshire Crashes, Highlights & Pure Sound, 28 & 29/9/23 

A very sketchy and slippery Dalby on Friday night with multiple offs followed by a bit of a samey Cropton and a mad dash to Langdale for the first time ever for the Trackrod Rally Yorkshire coverage this year, the latter being so tight on time that only a few cameras got set up sadly, further compounded by folk showing up after the fact and standing themselves in the way but that's nothing new. One thing I will say about this event is that this years lack of info on both sportity channels was honestly a bit dangerous. Not having a timetable of events available anywhere easily when you need to know what times to not be stood on an active rally stage is LESS than ideal
Event wise, Matthew Hirst won outright in his new Skoda, but a thrilling BHRC battle would see 7 people leading at the end of day 1, followed by Nick Elliott burying the car in a ditch, Higgins planting the TR7 up a bank and losing two tyres, Dan Mennell nearly winning on his return from wrecking the car in Argyll, Robinson being robbed by his own brakes, Richard Hill losing a minute through an early check in, Seb Perez mounting an impressive comeback after a spin on Friday and engine trouble on Saturday, and through it all would come Ben Friend to win for the first time since 2021, despite losing the headlights briefly in the dark on Friday and a scary moment on the final stage where he took the lead
