Maybe, one day soon, someone will grow a set and make the movie. Because his life story is much larger than cycling itself. This is a major part of the good, the bad and the ugly part of sports in America. Maybe someone will start a grassroots effort to produce this movie.
There's a full mini series produced in Australia called 'Tracks of Glory'. This is the opening scene of that movie. It's wonderful. My husband and I watched it this week on Amazon Prime (Australia). I loved it. Beautiful two part movie.

They got a good actor (Morris), parted his hair in the middle like Taylor did, then it's up to the audience to suspend disbelief. If their first priority was a lookalike, they'd be searching indefinitely and probably end up settling on a lesser actor.
