They need a sign language interpreter for that auctioneer. I could not understand any prices. Anybody else have trouble with that?

auctions were made to make people do irrational things. otherwise everyone could place a hidden bid and the auctioneer would need another job ;-)

After auction fees I didn't see anything that was an amazing deal. Looked more like retail pricing to me. But was still fun to see what the market is doing

Tractors retain there value, but no deals here. They look pricey to me .

Now go and add 10% auction fee and some tax on top of it …. And the fact that you cant get a bank loan fir those old clunkers …. And that just tells me that i made the right decision buying a brand new tractor with warranty and 84 mo 0% financing….

Prices were close to where I would have expected in my area, except the 1025, and 3320 those were 2-3000 under. I find spring auctions have much higher prices then fall ones. I rarely buy anything in spring as people pay more then I could sell them for even before the auction fee.

Ridiculously high prices for used Kubota lawn tractors by my estimates, but some of the other old tractors seemed reasonably priced and exciting buys. As always, I appreciate the extra mile you go, to look for strengths, weaknesses and interesting quirks.

Good video and interesting to see. I was a little shocked at the overall low prices of the oldies as some of them looked to be in great shape. Then again I was surprised at the higher prices for middle aged tractors. I saw some 50 models that were bigger and nicer than my old 53 NAA Ford that I sold before Covid hit for 3,500…some of those went in 2500 range or lower at the auction. Makes me happy with what I got. I also would like to see the implement/attachment auction….then maybe a field trip to a cattle auction - I know many may not care about that, bUt a small town cattle auction is mind blowing.

I can't justify any of these prices. Doesn't make sense, I can find 4 or 5 of each model of these for cheaper. Too many retail buyers with no brains I guess

WoW.. Looks like Every thing was Way Over Priced as far as i could Tell ..I Think i saw maybe one Deal ish.. 5 grand under what new was 10-15 years earlier is no Deal at all ..IMO i am a farm guy and have ben my whole life 40 years ish and i may just be getting old i dono..

I find it rather amusing that the podium from which this farm implement auction's prices are barked out to the audience has an American flag nailed to it while a majority of the tractors featured in the sale come from Japan and India.

It is a sellers market....for a little longer. Inflation is causing fuel, food, and insurance to increase. I foresee those maxed out on credit unloading some nice equipment for payoff before too long....within a year or two.

awful lot of people getting rid of their Kubotas

I'm surprised at the high price for the 970, although they are nice little machines. I've operated my neighbour's 970 as well as my daughter's 950 ( earlier version of the 970) I recently very nearly bought a low hour 970. On checking for parts availability at John Deere, I was told that many parts for these Yanmar built tractors are no longer available as they were only sold in small numbers. The Parts rep said this includes engine parts and driveline parts. The left hand front axle (4wd) housing sometimes breaks and they are not available at John Deere. I found folks searching online forums for the housings. The rep said this lack of parts supply applied to the entire series of rebranded Yanmars, which ranged from quite tiny (650?) to the midsized 60pto HP 1650. This all goes back to your recent video on choosing a tractor model. You made a good point about choosing a make and model which will continue to have dealer support ( parts) It seems the model is most important of these two categories as even with these being the most common brand of tractor, it's not enough. Again, nice little machines, provided you don't accidentally break them!

Great video! Hopefully and sooner than later I'll be retiring. THEN I'll be at auctions buying tractors to fix and sell (again). I'm the "guy" buying the under $3000.00 tractors or the even cheaper butt ugly ones lol.

I enjoyed that. I was surprised by some of those prices. Some I thought would go higher, and some I thought were maybe too high, but overall it looked fun and some good deals were had.

I had a B7100 that I used for mowing and tilling gardens, and brush hogging and I even had a little four-foot box blade mine was a 1977 model and I gave it to my dad last year for using it around his mini storage buildings as we put a loader on it. Still runs great and doesn't use a drop of oil. Will start every time from the seat. I just love their fuel system the way that you can drain the air from the system if you run it out of diesel. Takes just a few seconds and I've never had it fail. When we used it for mowing contracts for the US Army Corps of Engineers around the lakes it seems like everybody that run it would forget to put fuel in it.

Before I start watching, I bet the prices are almost as much as a new one.

My observation is that the JD and Kubota have a higher resale values than the other brands. I assume its because of the spare parts availabiliy and the stability of the two companies.....which has a direct connecton to parts availability. Never owned either brand but I thought it was very evident and will affect my tractor purchases in the future

Seen a few decent deals...we have an auction coming up soon for tractors and equipment...but you can't touch the bids...might as well buy new . It's not an auction...it's a competition to see who has more money to blow than who . I've literally seen used stuff go for the price of new . Yet I keep going lol

I have been to hundreds of auctions this Auctioneer was really hard to understand even though I know I'm getting older and my hearing is not what it once was it was hard to tell where he was even at on the money

That last red tractor with the loader that is getting pulled buy another tractor and then the auctioneer says it runs .we'll if it runs why's it's getting pulled

Yes, I would love to see the attachments in another video. Always like a good auction. Seems like the Kubota's were the majority of those in the video. It would be interesting to know the sales numbers of John Deere vs Kubota's through the years in like models.

Looked like a Kubota dealer was scooping up all the decent ones w/4WD and loaders... That nice B2650 cab one alone made their day worth it. Those machines'll be "sugar coated" and sold for more than they cost brand new within 2 months... just in time for the spring hobby farmers. I'd stick to buying from individuals where ya can see the whole story of how the machine "lived" and how the owner keeps their place and equipment. Always get documentation of lien payoffs and check your states's dept of commerce site for UCC lien filings on the tractor yourself... don't just take the seller's word for it!

These people are bidding insane prices. Considering most auctions charge a buyers fee. $26,500 plus fees and taxes means some FOOL paid over $30,000 for a 10-11 year old tractor that sold for less than $25,000 new with taxes and a warranty it brings the old saying that a FOOL and his MONEY are EASILY parted to mind. And it's even worse if it doesn't function properly after the purchase. If I were considering all of this and willing to spend the money it would be a better option to go to a dealer and buy new.

The prices are crazy for used and sometimes very used equipment with no warranty. I WOULD SOONER BUY NEW.

Thank you for this great video series. Auctions are always interesting to watch as the real market value of an item is determined by the bidders. I was surprised by the higher prices paid for some of the older tractors without loaders. And lower prices paid for the nice looking IH M tractors. I am looking forward to your next video on the implement auction.

Small / mini backhoe I need terribly. Land grades high I. Rear sloping to front, I need couple drain catch lines along property. Companies overcharge by 1000% to just dig small trenches , tons $ to do all work.

I grew up in the 1950,s. All the “new” Diesel tractors are so noisy. I like the old big John Deere six cylinder diesels. Otherwise, thumbs down. Kubota built a nice five cylinder utility thirty some years ago. They were nice.

I was a mechanic for a large city corporation yard and had intimate connections with vehicles that went to auction and there is a huge reason why these vehicles are now at some auction, buyer beware, most are ready to die and you may as well play the lotto thinking you are going to score at an auction. You get what you pay for and being cheap is mostly costly down the road.

Expensive!!!! I thought those little mower tractors would go for 3k-5k. Go figure might as well buy new.

$6,900 for small e loader! Awwwwe. I’m disabled. I could have bought that…. I need it so badly. I mix wood chips, leaves, turn it. Large tarp to wrap it to create rich soil. Trying to create soil to be able to garden. City gives me all wood chips and leaves.

Good lord was going to sell my ts 100 cab tractor 2004 , 900 hours 2 8 foot extreme duty tiger flail mowers ( needs shifter repair and new door ) 2 wheel drive , front pto , for like 15 grand, maybe an auction b better ! If I can find one close ! Priced out a new similar one could buy a 1/4 of a nice house ! Lol

Auctions are a joke nowadays. I’ve bid $10,000 on a tractor at a live auction but of course there was an Internet bitter that went 11,000 so I lost it went to the next auction the exact same tractor was still there they didn’t even take off the previous number so I knew it was the same tractor again I bid 10,000 lost it to online bidder the bid 11,000. Two weeks later I was looking through the catalogue at used tractors and they had the exact same tractor they’re asking 16,000 yet the auction was no reserves

Why would you buy used when they are people willing to pay new prices for used equipment? The tractor market is almost as crazy as the Porsche market. Hard pass for me!

Tim, the kioti’s new comparable model would be a cx2510. The ck2610 is a different frame size. Kioti updated the ck2510 in 2020 I believe. They upgraded to the side by side pedals among other things and renamed it to the CX2510.

Wish we still had more of these auctions. Most all of the large ones around us here now are all taking online bids. Days of finding a steal of a deal because nobody in attendance is interested or has the finances to bid are sadly gone.

I never understood the popularity of Kubota. They always seemed lighter built than Deere or Massey.

Very entertaining video! The prices would have been much higher here in Canada where I am. So for me most went cheap. Some of the really old ones are so cool looking that I would have bought a couple of them for the price they went at.

People at auctions generally over pay because they get caught up in the bidding kinda like gambling. Wait until all of the knuckle heads spent all of their money then you can snatch up a good deal. The last half hour of an auction is when I get the best deals.

yes definitely interested in what the attachments sell like. never been to one of these auctions. didn't really get the appeal in buying other peoples used broken down machines and i always bought new or used great condition from the dealers.

You don't guess the price, open cheque book pay the cashier at the end and then cry at the price 😊. I take it you need to somewhat understand the accent and then pratice to understands the auctioneer. I can't really tell at that speed, reminds me of a indian horse commentator or thick SA accent or Scottish.

The Kubota LA 403 for $6900 by far was the deal ... I would have jumped on that! ..and that JD 970 ..I liked the tractor but the price $10,900... I would have liked $8500...
