I just bought a Yanmar 424 with four point ROPS and 60” box blade and some LED lights mounted front and back on the ROPS. $24k delivered. It was in stock and I took delivery immediately. I’ll bet I could’ve saved about $1000 if I looked around and waited, but I’ve already gotten so much work done this year with it and the roof is an absolute lifesaver in full sun that I have zero regrets. So happy with my purchase.

Wow, I’m disappointed in a non-split brake system. That feature has got me out of a number of tight spots which would have been very problematic otherwise.

I bought a Yanmar 324 last year, I did a ton of research before buying. I wish you made this video a year ago. lol In all honesty I wish I could of combined features from both the yanmar and Kubota. At the end of the day the only thing I really wish Yanmar would consider is moving the brake pedal to the other side, they are times it would be nice to feather both break and throttle, which is hard when they are on the same side.

Deep hole in the JD floorboard subseptsble to rust is erelavent. (Floorboard is plastic)

Thanks for this in-depth review. I am in the market for a sub or compact tractor and leaning toward Yanmar, the JD is out, I just hate anything JD. Right now it is a toss up between Kubota and the Yanmar, leaning heavily toward the Yanmar based on cost. However, I hear the resale value of Kubotas is much better, but I don't really have any intention of selling. I am hoping that whichever tractor I purchase will last me at least 10+ years.

Get bigger then, first tractor is rarely your last. I know in Kubota and Deere you can jump up a size and get a more basic model for equal or less money. Say a deer 3e. To me no medium gear is a deal breaker I find myself in medium 80% of the time. I don't know yanamr but Kubota will lift more then Deere on the 3point hitch .

Which tractor has the highest front lift? Looks to me that the Kubota and Yanmar were so close I could not tell, John Deere looked the lowest. Doesn't the Kubota and Yanmar have cast iron rear end housing, and the john deere have aluminum? I understand that john deere won't warranty breakage of rear axle if a backhoe attachment has been used. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm not in the market for a small tractor yet but after watching your review its Yanmar all the way, after recently reviewing a John Deere zero-turn ill never touch a John Deere anything. it seems like they're complicated silliness carries over into their tractor line as well, things just don't make sense with a deere, but there are people willing to pay for that green paint, I just don't get it.

Proud owner of a 324. Happy with its performance and reliability. I am unhappy with the plastic hood. If you spill any fuel the plastic will become brittle. On my tractor, the hood hinge broke through. This is a failure in materials selection. The hood is an absolute pos. Also be aware that the front loader uses a proprietary mounting system and the selection of attachments is very limited when compared to the other manufacturers.

Yes, Yanmar uses their own quick detach loader bucket attachment.... but you buy thebwuick detach brackets for $175 and have them welded onto any implement you need. And you can also covert it to skid steer quick detach for $1,000 and still be $2,000 cheaper than the kubota
