As much as I like and have ran New Holland pocket rocket loaders the only tractor set up that I've found that keeps up with a jcb tele are the 7716/7718 Massey's, bit of a horse alot will say but the balance, loader control, and joy stick functions, dnya 6 trans and when I set her to my liking was on average 50lts a day less when loading and hauling a 33ft herron flat deck, balage to wrapper, straw and wrapped rounds then sister tractor in team. I told ya when your grub problem started was a big heavy flat roller. Sorry to see the t7 and baler go up in smoke guy's. Cheers n beer's from Methven, New Zealand 👍🍻👨‍🔧🚜🇳🇿

I had a chain stretch and when we stopped to fix another problem we always clean out the hay from the baler and found smoke rolling off the pickup chain. We cleaned the whole baler off with the leaf leafblower and put a few buckets of water on it. I lost a bearing a few years ago and it was eating thru the bearing block liquid steel was hitting the ground and it was flaming up everything. I don't know how I put that out before it went up. I hope you can find a new one because everybody knows what this new modern Era is like 😅. We have to order and wait for everything to come in and nothing is in stock anymore.

That's why we hold on 6 kg fire extinguishers in the tractors. You can save yourself and the tractor as well. We have saved two tractors using a fire extinguisher.

Sorry to see the tractor alight, at least everyone was safe and ok. We had a small fire on our t7 on top the exhaust manifold our local dealer modified it with a angled piece of metal so chaff will fall off instead of sit on the hot exhaust. by the sounds of where the fire came from yours had the same issue

I had a fire on a NewHolland 7740 under the peddle box the main wire loom rubbing against a fuel pipe and the cab frame, luckily it was beside my combine that had a fire extinguisher and I put the fire out. I have fire extinguisher in main tractors and combine now. I think burning the chafer bugs is going to work out very expensive 😂😂😂😂

Could have been a lot worse and at least nobody was hurt and insurance should cover the cost of new machines, I remember in the late 80's when one of the farms next to us bought a brand new JD 3350 and JD baler and they were so proud of it they decided to wash it after they used it and before they put it away for the winter, the next year they were baling hay and both the tractor and baler were lost due to a fire caused by the bearings over heating in the baler caused by water getting in and sitting in them over the winter (not saying that's what happened with yours) they learned a valuable lesson that year that balers and combines should only be washed before using them and not after.

My boss had told me that same thing, that’s why he doesn’t wash them until summer. Grease them before you put em away is probably the best you can do.

I carry 2*10L cans of water and two big fire extinguishers on the baler now as had one go up a couple of years ago. It happens so fast and if you catch it early you can save things. Would probably have lost it this year as had a bearing burning but the water saved it. I hate baling in hot weather now as always thinking about which way the wind is blowing and how to avoid a field disaster if it does catch fire. After this year I would like to mount a big tank on the baler with a pump and hose.

gutted lads i remember a hay barn going up local to me kids had started it messing about and my dad went to carry it out the barn with a jcb 3cx so the fire crew could wet it down as it would re catch he was there for days turning it with the jcb to stop it catching again

Well, you know what they say: it's better to be P.O. Than peed on! In this case though, it may have better if you just peed on it 😉 rather than get P.O.! It's life, next time buy John Deere and put a small water tank in the Bailey so you can put the fire out. FYI, never take your eyes off those tires until they pop. Sometimes you get pices flying all over. One more thing you can do is blow the Chaffe off more If that's what started the fire. A lot of dairy farmers wet their alf alfa when it gets to dry, just enough to keep the chaffe and dust down.

Not a chance, it was the tractor that went up first we tried to save the baler but the Fire took over to quickly .. it’s easy to sit there and say that but not when it’s happening to you in a field away from the farm!

Glad to see the big boss man is ok mate. Is that a smile on Hrs's face or is it just wind hes got. It's a bit wierd but going to fires ive attended it seems the newer kit goes up quicker and burns more intense than older kit. But like Adam said. It can be replaced.

I feel your pain. I lost our round baler in straw this harvest I did manage to save the tractor tho but the baler not so lucky or the 20 acre of straw and woodland joing the field. Its fxxxking shit

Bleddy hell that's a bugger. Sorry to see this but glad everyone is ok and as Adam says machinery can be replaced. I know how fast things burn as had a diesel car go up on me recently. Adam - you should put your foot down and tell Justin straight that you are going to be on RU-vid! lol. Seriously though you guys don't need to justify why Adam hasn't been on for a while as that is your business and nobody else's. That being said I do miss Adam and his rants

I had a 🔥 fire in a shed a few years ago afterwards I met a friend who said to me that he was not speaking to me anymore because I didn't invite him to the barbecue 😄😄😄
