The super steer debut on the Ford Genesis tractors in the mid 1990s. Carried over to the little New Holland boomer series. The range thing was Ford as well. They called it dual power with a pedal on the floor. Awesome technology for the time! 🙂 We have two New Holland TC45D tractors. One has the super suite cab. Love them! ❤
I’ve got a 2006 New Holland TC40DA. Can genuinely say that it has never let me down and very happy. I do wish that it had SSQA and third function. Other than that, which can be added. Very happy.
My first compact tractor was a New Holland TZ18da. I have since traded that in and bought a kubota. If New Holland would’ve stayed with the shibaura tractors, I would probably still have a New Holland. I did not like the rebranded LS tractors that they sell now.
I completely agree. I love the older equipment. I don’t mind using newer stuff as long as it isn’t battery lol. I would use a gas flashlight if I could. I just bought a 1990 John Deere 870 tractor from my workplace and love it. My workplace also just replaced their old kubota zd331 with a 2023 kubota zd1211 and I love that too. I tend to like the older stuff more as there’s more metal and in my opinion can be more reliable sometimes
New Holland really messed up when they went away from Shibura for there compact and sub-compact tractor line...The LS tractors are like the workmaster/mahindra made junk...why do companies keep staking there reputations on junk....I know the all mighty dollar...I say go back to Shibura Japan made sub compacts and compacts and open Basildon up, buy the patents back from long agribusiness, or who ever and start making farm tractors like new holland/ford used to....I bet if they came back out with the 30 series fords, built exactly like they used to..... and the tc and 10 series compacts you couldn't keep them on the lot....But hey we all dream.......Good video...
Me too , A DX 45 ....made by LS I think 🤔 ....then LS quit making their tractors and went on their own ....correct me if I'm wrong , it was some Japanese company that made them ....and I do real Logging with my Case IH DX 45 , 2008 model ...tough tractor 🚜
Very interesting. I think they need a subcompact version that specializes in using the flail instead of a deck under the machine. [though I have never used a flail so IDK if they're actually a replacement to a standard mower deck].
You can mow your lawn with a flail mower, but it would have to go on the back of the tractor, VS a typical mid-mount mower but otherwise, a flail mower would do fine on a lawn, if you got the model with the knives rather than the hammers. The models with the hammers are for cutting brush, and small saplings, flail knives are just good for grass, and very light duty brush cutting.
Hey Neal! I have a question not related to the video. I bought a used RA1042T rotary rake but cant find where to put the oil in. It has a sight glass with dipstick. Could you send me instructions or a pucture, please.
In 2006 I had to choose between a TC29 manual with super steer and higher hrs or TC30 HST with 53hrs. I picked the TC30 and I'm happy with it, but I think about that super steer from time to time.
I have a TC 45-DA and can’t find anything that I like more. Love the visibility and comfort! The super steer kinda sucks for loader/fork work because the bucket moves side to side significantly when you turn the steering wheel.
I have a TC45D with the 17LA loader that I bought new. I use it in the woods quite a bit and it is great for maneuvering in tight areas. It's the nimblest tractor I've ever run and it's one of the most well thought out tractors that I've ever seen. I use it with pallet forks a lot and the side-to-side movement that the loader arms make when turning the steering wheel while sitting still is kind of handy at times.
I have always loved the TC series of tractors. I have the little brother the TC29D. New Holland was one of the leaders in compact tractors back in the 1990's.
How well did it stand up with heavy loader work ? I could see it breaking off, if weakly built . I love the H-DS, it is some thing you don't know you need until you have one.
I loved the super steer. Ford 2120 gear drive was a great tractor and had features that were quite premium such as the hydraulic shuttle shift and main trans shift where no clutching was needed.
This tractor was made by a totally different company than todays New Holland Compacts and the quality on any CNH machine is not there like it used to be...reguardless of the dealer you deal with.
Correct me if I'm wrong , but I think LS made these tractors for Case IH and New Holland ? ... I have A Case IH DX 45 , 2008 model and is A super tractor
